What a treat NHL '08 was for hockey fans and sports gamers alike last year. The improvements to '09 look like the perfect balance of keeping a good thing going without resting on your laurels. This game's a first-day buy no matter what, but give me a little bit more control on defense, a better franchise mode, and the online features working as advertised, and this will be an even better version of what will be remembered as one of the best sports titles of all time.
