Given a choice, what do you think the average Madden fan would rather see: cut scenes like you described, or lot's of wild and outlandish celebrations?

I'm happy as hell you're around to take suggestions. But I also think it's unacceptable that we're doing QA for you all. Why are the fans responsible for pointing out uniform, animation & celebration mistakes?

It's hard to believe this stuff is getting by management without notice.
Come on man - cut me some slack here. I'm on here at all hours of the day and night (100% voluntarily), and I didn't even work on the game for the past 4 months or so. Comments like yours will push other designers and artists away from the boards. Mistakes are going to happen, period. No game has ever shipped in the history of the world without a mistake. The fans aren't responsible for pointing out these mistakes, but given the scope of the game I think it's much better that we utilize the thousands of people on here as opposed to the 4 or 5 designers that are working 100 hour weeks to get the game out the door. Would you agree with that? I want you to be critical of the game...without a doubt...but I would really appreciate if you draw the line of attacking me and my team so personally. Sound fair?

It's really quite simple, the general public likes players to celebrate more than any of the other stuff you described. Once again another OS'er has tunnel vision in thinking with what they want instead of seeing the big picture. For what it's worth I 100% agree with you, just saying..

We've got your back, Ian. I think the passion that football gamers have for Madden gets the best of them (us) sometimes. Between you and the guys from SCEA that are here taking input about The Show, I'm incredibly impressed with the willingness of you guys to take input from the hardcore sports gamers and implement it in a timely fashion.

Just ignore the complainers. We'll be critical, I know you want that, but there's no need for you to put your neck on the line because a few people feel the need to jump on you directly. If people have beef, they should take it to EA. You're not a messenger boy. So keep it up.

That being said, a 100% guarantee of that Lambeau Leap never hurting my eyes again would be desirable.

Why not make it 10 designers? 15? 20?

I know that decision may rest outside your purview of authority, but doesn't the size of the Madden franchise warrant a bigger staff?

Is it possible to post video of the actual Lambeau Leap in Madden 09?

Re: Update

It's obvious that most of the people on this board don't have a clue about software development. It's easy to point out one flaw when you have nothing else to do. It's another thing to point out said flaw when you have 100 higher priority items due yesterday.

The same goes for rosters. People throw a hissy fit every time the 5th string linebacker is 2 points slower than he should be. People don't realize how hard it is to get every player right when your doing every team from top to bottom.

As long as humans are still developing software mistakes will be made, PERIOD.

Adding more chefs doesn't always make the meal taste better. Many times it has the opposite affect.

More people is not always better when it comes to coordinating efforts and making sure everybodys stuff works together.
