True, but it's almost like EA knows we'll buy this game anyway and just threw something together as a demo.

Time will tell if anything that we've seen wrong in this demo will be mended or not..

Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here

So far i have played roughly 20 games, and i must say i do like the demo(ps3). The game runs alot smoother than 08, and the player models look better.

The game doesnt play as fast as the videos but that could just be me. I love the new animations like the greg jones stiff arm lol, but i do feel it takes to long and u wont get far after that. As far as the defense goes, its going to be all about playing as the linebackers and safeties to close down the middle. The first 10 games the cpu was killing me with the passing game but i started to use the middle linebacker more and cpu became less effective. Ive gotten many sacks you just have to mix your coverage and blitzes, ie man blitzes, zone blitz, and the actual cover 2 works like it did when the bucs and ravens used it to when a superbowl(assuming u r using a lback or safety).

Now im beating the cpu on avg 42 to 7 mostly playing wit LSU. Thats crazy considering the quarters r only 2min. So i guess im getting pretty good, getting ready for dynasty on heisman with FIU. The final build of this game should get at least an 8.4 on the ign.com scale b/c its way better than last year game which got an 7.7 or 7.8. I think this will be one of the better ncaas in the past few years, and easily the best on nextgen.

Time won't tell... the people that buy the game on release will, and I will be reading their impressions in order to help decide whether to get the game or not. I fully expect I will, but I promised myself after last year's INT fest that it wasn't going to be a Day 1 purchase ever again.

LOL nahI know what "icing the kicker means" but I thought it was a feature like when you throw a pick and you can try to pick what defense the computer was in.

That's what i meant by time, release date and everything you know

But about the demo, the thing i'd like to see difference is the tempo of the game or atleast the ball carriers anyway..

I must have a different demo because I have regular players doing cartwells and Mascots cheesing on the WR screen

The negatives I see in the demo:

- Slip screen is cheese
- DB's sit back and let you have the underneath routes all day. Hooks are extremely easy.
- Pass rush isn't really there
- HB's dust LB's, especially on outs

All of these have been said and I'm just saying that I see them too.

Do I really like the demo: yes! I'm not going to repeatedly call screens nor am I going to play against people who are going to exploit these flaws. Therefore I'm not worried about anything.

Just need to find a way to stop the passing game and form some type of pass rush when the retail version comes out.
