LOL, i've now seen people saying the speed is too fast and you're saying it's too slow? Or am I misunderstanding here?

I find myself talking with the commentary because I know the line by heart WAY too much. This is one of my area's of concern.

One thing that I am disappointed at.. is the play by play. We made huge changes in how this is triggered and nobody has noticed. All I have seen reaction to is how the post-play is the same. On 08, it was "Takes the snap... looking for a man... fires it... pulls it in... tackled!" That isn't realistic and you won't hear that on 09. Oh well.
I haven't been able to listen to the commentary. I played the demo twice, but both time with the baby sleeping, had to have the volume too low to hear the commentary over the crowd noise.

I'll make it a point to take a listen tonight when I get off work.

I don't think its fast enough. I wish it had an agressiveness to it like Madden does. That's just my opinion. Why do you think its fine?

Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here

I played 2 games last night and I must say it is looking really good. The graphics are so so, the field textures are great, and the player models are best ever.

I love the new passing game. The cpu will burn you and playing man to man against top WR's like these two teams have is a tough challange of a secondary. But play some zones and send some backers to get after the QB and forcing them to make quick reads can and will result in turnovers. All the INTs I have seen have been very realistic. No warping. I can see how when say LSU is playing a lower talented squad like say a team in the sun belt. How playing man 2 man all game and sending lots of heat could be gotten away with. But with good WRs vs Good secondary it is a chess match which I am seeing in the demo.

The footplanting is GREAT. I pulled off some killer cut backs, finding the hole and THEN exploding through it.

One play, With Ryan Per (why is he even in the game). I rolled out and caught my slot wr running a shallow drag. The LB stepped up to make the hit but was a tad bit behind the WR and only caught his ankle trying to trip him up. He started falling forward using his hand on the ground to keep himself up. Then a WONDERFUL block by my upfield WR. He turned around and totally blew up the blind sided FS. Then off to the races down the sideline. I love how they look back when running away from defenders.

The DOWN FIELD BLOCKING is wonderful. The WR's, TE's, ect pick their blocks nicely and really makes following your blockers a thing of beauty.

I was not going to get 09 but now I am think maybe I will. I was more stoked for madden. But now I am even more stoked for madden, but I think NCAA 09 will be a solid title aswell.

ok does anyone know if you can control the post-touchdown celebration anymore than just running over to the mascot? LIke can you pull out the heisman pose or anything? Because i thought they said that you can get excessive celebration now this year after a touchdown, but so far what im seeing is nothing even close to excessive

I agree. If you don't like the "feel" of the gameplay in the demo, you will not like the "feel" of the game in the final version as the 2 will play the same. Bugs may be fixed but the overall gameplay will remain the same.

Outside of the mascot interaction, some teams have their own specific celebrations. Nothing more than that though, and I don't believe its possible to get flagged.

I think it's fine personally, much faster and it'd be unrealistic. If anything i'd like it a shade slower but I can live with how it is.
