Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here

I've played about 10 games so far and I am pumped for the retail version!!!

I have seen the QB (both Hum and CPU) short hop a couple of throws and over throw receivers, even when there was no pressure. As others have made mention of, the slip screen is sick!! I wouldn't call it a money play, but seems to be much more realistic. The pulling lineman actually pick up the blocks, where as before it seemed like a lot of the time they would all stand around as the defense ran past them. The most turnovers by the CPU has been 2, both interceptions, and was most likely due to the fact they were trailing late and had to throw on every down. The only "bugs" I've noticed are a small commentary one where Nessler said it was 4th down when it was only 2nd. The other was when LSU (CPU) was dropping back, took one step and just got stuck. His legs were still moving like he was backpedaling, but he wasn't moving and I only saw this one time.

Also, I'm kind of embarrassed to admit it, but I've actually played a mascot game as well. Does anyone know how you do those flips and stuff you see in the videos? Just for fun if I decide to play another mascot game.

If you play as LSU in a regular game, go to By Play Type-Pass-Hail Mary-select the play "Circus". Hit X, and as soon as you catch it hit the L Trigger (360) and its a hook-n-lateral. Its freakin awesome; although, it only works, sometimes..

It's weird how some of us see Laser QB and way too easy passing game yet you've got more poor throws, INTs and stuff. When I played I didn't think I could throw a INT if I tried...hopefully it's just an aberration, I dunno, just wasn't fun to play in a poor manner and not get penalized by the CPU like I should have.

Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here

As someone who has spent the past year playing lots and lots of All Pro Football, I just have two questions:

1) Why does this game move so fast?

2) How can people actually stand to play a game that moves this fast?

The weird thing to me is that the CPU seems to fly around the field doing all kinds of super-human stuff, but the second you take control of a player, it seems like you are playing at a slower speed (yes, I know to hold down the turbo button).

Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here

I had something weird happen, don't know if anyone else has seen it, as I havent read it from here yet.

Situation.

LSU scores a TD, then during the PAT the holder gets up and motions to a WR spot and sets up, I was like WTF there going for 2? Well the kicker is still in his stance, so??? then the holder shifts back towards the kicker then the ball was snapped and the ball flew back 10 yards or so and it was called a dead ball.

Pretty funny but wierd.

I thought I read somewhere that smart routes were going to be in 09. Am I missing something?
