Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here

I'm glad everyone's able to play the demo and give feedback and such.

I left my power brick, av cord, controllers, etc (basically everything except my 360), and the power cord to my flat screen at my friends house...in Missouri..and I live in Texas...lol

..I'm just hoping he can mail it back by July 14th: One day to play the demo, the next to get the game.

I guess I could hit someone up down here and play it then.

But colossal props to everyone who posted any feedback on the demo and the guy who posted the videos.

Just from general feel the demo comes closer to the practically final build we played than the one I played back at the end of April in NYC. Russell pointed out some things and he may be right on those aspects. But overall it seems to be a decent representation of what to expect the release product will be.

does the other builds allow you to do a 360 spin off your back foot wit periloux and hit a wide out in trip coverage 40 yards away?

Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here

Has anyone seen the 1 hand tap catch yet? I threw a screen pass to LSU rb and I thought It was overthrown and going out of bounds (high) and #5 tip's it with 1 hand then catches and then get flipped and drops it. (I wish I could have replayed that, cause I would have used my camera video and put the video up showing the sick animation).

I am so happy that they added the automatic shedding of players. I like the fact that if I run up the middle with Wells I can break tackles without always having to truck stick. I want dude's to just miss cause he's so big and strong and has the ability to break tackles. And I have seen tons of just randon broken tackles without having to trigger them in some way (truck stick/juke/spin/ ect...). Wells is a monster in this game. Ive had some big runs with him which feels so rewarding when you go through the middle break a few tackles and then are in the clear for a 68 yd td run. Its a great feeling to do it this way lol.

I also love the fact that when you throw high passes to smaller guys they dont go up and get the ball like the bigger guys. I have seen some dope new catch animation with Hartline, Robiski (sp?)

Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here

Downloaded to the PS3 and wasn't that impressed but I was hoping I would be.

From the start when it panned into the stadium I got to look at the awful and pixelated fans that were in the stands, that was my first turn off. I really liked the look of the playing field the grass texture was very good. I ran a play close to the sidelines and the players on the sidelines had the same face and looked bad as well.

The animations were okay but I noticed a lot of the time during tackles the players would sort of slide into place, like they were on ice and not connected to the ground.

I used to love this series too and hope that what I'm seeing is just an early build.

I have bought the last 2 NCAA's and played maybe 10 games, I want to like but I don't know maybe I'm too picky but $60 is really starting to add up when you buy many many games.

Enough rant.....

It's impossible to judge a thing like this on VARSITY level. STuff like that will happen. It is a level catered to a beginner.

Re: ***OFFICIAL NCAA 09 Demo Discussion & Impressions***

The new right stick stuff felt very natural, I was impressed with that.

Still to twitchy, but I knew that going in, so it wasn't a disappointment.

Animations shoot off too fast, but they're better and more varied... especially some of the new pass rush moves.

Lighting is awesome.

Crowd noise is a pleasant surprise. Not 2k8 quality, but good.

Overall, I'm happy with it. I'll be buying the game.
