Comparison within the 2 games is acceptable surely.
Theres not much to be defensive about, even with the flaws it has 08 was still the better of the two imo. Comparison is fine, out right trolling and calling something crap without knowing what you're talking about is completely different, which if you read Eddie's post history is pretty much all he does. Though Baa is kinda right, it is pretty funny, not as funny as Venom claiming up and down that EA paid for their NHL08 previews and reviews but still worth a chuckle.

And why is it so? Pretty unavoidable I mean. It shouldnt be that hard to make a game that it is impossible to make cheating goals. Or are they (EA) scared that the 8 year olds that is spending a lot of money on this game wouldnt play it??? (I hope the ironic tone is obvious)

I've heard every one of the community leaders, who attended, say that the 'lock-on' hitting is gone and so is that hipcheck.
It's all based on physics now and you have to click on the analog stick to initiate the hit.

Ugh, is it that time of year again when you come out of the woodwork to tell everyone how this game sucks because every Swedish player isn't rated 1,000,000?

It seems that you dont like Swedish players? Why? Whitout Zetterberg and company, Red Wings wouldnt have won the cup.

I have absolutely nothing against Swedish players. I just don't think they should all be rated 100 simply because the Swedish team won the 2006 Olympics (which is exactly what you wrote on these boards last year).

Now who's acting like an 8-year-old?

Re: NHL 09 First Look: GameSpot

Look the truth about Swedish hockey is that yes they have produced some wonderful players, but so has every other major hockey nation. The Swedes have no more depth or superior talent than the Canadians or the Russians at this point, and even the Czech's, could beat anyone on the right day.

I don't really understand your logic as to why Sweden is the greatest hockey nation. Their accomplishments over the years don't seem any greater than their closest competitors.

In fact the Czech Republic has only been a country since the early 90's and they have already won an Olympic Gold and have won the World Championships five times, Sweden has been competing in the World Championships since the 1930's and still only have won it eight times.

NHL 2k isn't any better, I hated playing 2k lobby games for all those rediculous cheese goals.
