That's actually a good use for the feature.

If a play is subject to an agreed upon "game flaw," then the play can be repeated. But that's the world of Madden 08. I don't anticipate such problems in Madden 09. Note the optimism.

Re: Madden NFL 09 Preview

if someone were to show me the 'new madden' in 2004, I would probably not believe them. They need to make the whole game from scratch - everything. One way to do this would be to have a team making roster updates and other minor downloads for 2 years, while the bulk of the employees make a new next gen madden that's worthy of hype and gives people that 'wow' factor; shock and awe baby!
To do this would probably require hiriing a completely new development team. Until then imo they are improving something that isn't worthy of improvement in that it isn't anything like an "nfl experience" it's not like being at a game, in a game, or participating in an nfl telecast at the moment.

That target render certainly wasn't REALLY a target at all.

Re: Madden NFL 09 Preview

I am hoping for the best but expecting the worse as always with Madden Football. The presentation BETTER be close to NFL2K's or i'll,once again, be let down by EA.

I agree with what someone else just stated about EA just needing to start all over again from scratch. Get a WHOLE NEW TEAM to do it and DO IT RIGHT!

Yeah, right.

Re: Madden NFL 09 Preview

I thought Madden 08 for the PS2 was the most polished football game/madden ever. It was the most glitch free version made and ran like an actual football game. Because it didn't have alot of new "features" it wasn't well liked by the casual fan, but as an avid madden baller I say it was the best yet.

I say this because I'm hoping the producers have put more focus on the NG version than the CG version and put out as quality of game as that one. If they do that I will literally play the game from August to August in online leagues.

Re: Madden NFL 09 Preview

Well I'm hoping that they at least added superbowls won to every players stats when you are in fran-mode,like they do when a player earns a probowl trip. And have some true meaning for winning the M.V.P. of the superbowl award on that persons stats,As well as the year the both was won on the players stats.Which means as long as that player is on the roster of the team that won the big dance but he's a backup ,That player as well as the others still have superbowl champion with the year it was won on there stats E.A. please tell this is a small thing you guys put in?Anybody know if this is true or not?.Say somebody let know please!!!!!!

anything is better than radio guy.

Collingsworth sounds great, Hammond sounded robotic in the beginning, but in later builds has sounded a bit better.

There are some threads around here with some play by play.
