If a "nerd" in this case is someone who tries to enjoy the game by trying to make it reflect real life as much as possible then there are a lot of nerds here and you a the one who is out of place.

It bothers us not because it can't be stopped (it most certainly can as you say) but because teams don't do that in real life and most of us like a simulation style game. I'm not saying sometimes teams in college don't put a fast WR type guy in at QB but it's a gimmick and not a game plan. When you get older you will understand these basic football things.

Damn, the first time I saw the thread I thought it was formation subs. Formation audibles are ok, but not nearly as useful Both are kind of an accepted standard now.

Re: A Godsend in NCAA Football 09: Formation Audibles

I like formation subs i like being able have a certain RB in the backfield for that set without having to quick sub. The years when my full back sucks i like to play the second HB in pro forms. I like to put the fast receiver in three or more receiver sets in a favorable spot or run that formation without taking the time to sub.

I can live without it but it would be nice to take my star offensive players off of special teams.

Re: A Godsend in NCAA Football 09: Formation Audibles

While I want formation subs as well, I wanted formation audibles more. I used them a lot on the PS2. With formation subs, I used them to get more time for backup LBs and DL for the most part in nickel and dime packages. I can give my backup RB time with the packages system and don't need the formation subs that much for that area.

Will these formation audibles work online? I mean can you set all our audibles and get them how we want them and then go online and they will all be there?

the fatigue set on would nullify that fast QB thingy. i had fast QB's i recruited and after several downs scrambling, he was always auto sub'ed. so putting your fastest player, I use qb spy with fast LB's (which is part of my recruiting stradegy (?) ) to counter that move.. its always a way to counter the cheeze!
