I agree, but it seems EA wants to make it seem that all players can progress into stars starting them near the top of the overall scale.

I would've been happy with Ray Rice at a 75.

In NCAA he always came out as like a 64. It would be funny because on that stupid Player Comparison Screen he always was matched with Reggie Bush. It made no sense what so ever.

Seems a few QBs are over-inflated. Rothleisberger a 95? Come on! I know the game doesn't like having difference in QB's abilities, but even the real bad starting QBs are above an 80.

I really feel you on the inflation of player ratings and Scott on the inflation of rookies........... I wish that they would go back to the Madden 02/03 overall ratings calculation, where........

95-99 - Perennial Pro Bowlers, Future HOFers in their prime (Manning, Brady)
90-94 - Pro Bowl player, elite player (Palmer, Romo)
85-89 - Pro Bowl caliber, excellent player (Garrard, McNabb)
80-84 - Legit starter, very good player (D. Anderson, Garcia)
75-79 - Quality starter, good player (V. Young, Campbell)
70-74 - Adequate starter, okay player (Pennington, Big J. Russell)
65-69 - Fringe starter, quality backup (Beck, Flacco)

and so on and so forth.

That would take care of the rookie inflation problem; only a select few rookies (McFadden, Jake Long, and Big Glenn Dorsey for example) would even get to start out as an 80 and the 1st rounder after that can range all the way down to upper 60s, not disallowing a few 2nd rounders from getting in the low 70s.

I thought Woodley was a little underrated for the start of the season(at least an 82 IMO)....but I think we will see a nice jump over the course of the season....maybe not a "Silverback" leap but nice nonetheless.

You guys are Steelers fans....dont you see something wrong? Particularly on defense. Even more particularly, on the LB corps? Does it not seem like someone is missing?

*cough* Lawrence Timmons *cough*

Colon, Simmons, Polamalu and Townsend should be lower.

Holmes and Woodley should both be about 2 points higher.

Good to see Heath Miller getting the respect he deserves.

Re: All Madden 09 Player Ratings!!

I'll take my Bengals. Pretty decent ratings. But poor Rudy took a knock. I'll have lot easier time with this game as opposed to my Wolverines in NCAA. They got pounded on Talent, IRL and in game.......
