Madden 09 Player and Team Ratings

Pasta Padre has posted player and team ratings for Madden NFL 09.

"Looking forward to Madden 09 ratings? Well here you can find overall player ratings via pictures of each team’s current depth chart. Most of the players will be listed on these, though ones that are low on the depth chart (such as WRs) won’t be displayed. Keep in mind that it is possible the ratings will change by release. Nice job on the Jets, Im loving the Kerry rhodes 96 . If we had another CB that D could be nasty. Im still going to be serving people online with the Gholston n Pace off the edge rush, Jenkins plugging the middle and Rhodes Revis secondary. Coles over the middle deep, Cotch in the intermediate route with Keller maybe getting a look. Im getting chills, is it august yet?

Juqua changed his name, I think the Eagles lead the league in that crap

I'm definately not liking a lot of these ratings.
Even more disheartening is that the Ravens defense really got shafted. I don't think the EA team realizes that major parts of the defense were injured all year.


Bob Sanders @ 99 is laughable. He's not better than Ed Reed nor Troy Polomolu.

Seems like the EA team rated many of these players based on their hype first and then their abilities. At least there are frequent roster updates that will put some of the players rated too high/low back to what they should be.

Of course these may not be final ratings, but I don't see them changing that much.

He's def better then Polamalu who made the pro bowl last year over better guys like Kerry Rhodes last year b/c of his name. polamalu blew a lot of coverages last year and even steeler fans would tell you that he was sloppy last year. Sanders won the DPOTY. IMO the total package of sanders is better then Reed. Sanders is great in pas coverage and against the run, im not sure what the case is but Reeds tackle totals are really low for a safety

William Thomas also changed his name back to Tre
