Sports Gaming Remake Suggestions

What classic sports games do you want to see remade for today? Matthew DiStaulo tries to answer that question in his latest article which you can read here.

"After the recent Tecmo Bowl:Kickoff (DS) announcement I started thinking about other sports games that deserve remakes on the modern consoles."

Mutant league football has to come with MLH. I loved that game.

I vote for the old Summer Games and WInter Games on the Commodore 64. I know there have been other Olympic games but none have captured the fun of those two classics.

as much as people harp on ea, myself included. I think they are the only one to get the swing stick right in a baseball game. The swing stick in NCAA MVP 06 and 07 just felt so natural. I would have loved to see that in an MLB version of the game.

I have to agree with the Mutant league football/hockey. those games were the epitome of fun back in the day. Nothing like being down 2 scores but then making your brother forfeit due to not being able to field a team.

Hah yeah, I downloaded some ROMs for Mutant League Hockey and Football and they're both hilarious. Playing those as a 7 or 8 year-old didn't give me a clue with most of the humor happening with the dialog and whatnot. Funny and fun game -- I wish they could update that game with a new coat of paint and put it up on XBLA. That would be epic with 4-man multiplayer, especially hockey.

WWE SmackDown: Here Comes The Pain....... or either WWE: No Mercy. Wrestling games haven't been too good since these two (except graphics)

Grand Prix Legends. Anyone who remembers this game for the PC knows what I'm talking about. I would actually buy a driving wheel if this game was remade for the 360. Arguably the best era in the sport (1967) with the greatest race courses in the history of man.
