I don't thjink you know what the term means in the videogame industry. It means something to those who want to know if the game will make it on time. "Going Gold" means the build is finished and ready to be produced and shipped to retailers.

No problem. I know it doesn't help that the terminology used is the same as the music industry, but mean completely different things.

Today is when it was announced. I don't think any of us knows if it was actually completed today or days to weeks before.
