How are people trashing the graphics/lighting when none of these vids are in HD?

I saw a lot of good things in those vids, I'm very excited for this game.

This game looks incredible. I cant wait. The pitching is going to be so rewarding and feel great I can tell. What I am getting pumped for is the AI logic looks like it is amazing (the papi and manny strikeouts, although i think 2-0 a guy like Papi would not have swung at that pitch lol). Very tremendous improvements by 2K! great job. I'm now even more excited to start my franchise.

The looks are improved IMO. I honestly couldn't even watch 2K7, the player animations were so jumpy and missing so many transitional animations. 2K8 looks much better in that regard, although the animation issues are still there and very noticable at times.

But I have to agree with you in that the rest of what I saw and heard seems a real mess. This video, to me, appears more like year 2 of a 4 year plan to improve the game. Because if next year is supposed to the final Holy Grail year of Brinkman's plan, I personally don't see how they can pull it off by next spring. Too many things look and sound like they still need so much work.

All the complaints you guys are point out, valid though they may be, are things that I would never notice in 162 games, unless of course I was looking for them because I read about them first.
