Just hear me out for a second and you will understand where i am coming from.

The Most Valuable Player award is self explanatory. The player that contributes the most to their team in every single way possible. He is the most valuable asset to the team and helps them compete on a consistent basis. Peyton Manning therefore is the best choice for the MVP Award.
You may ask why I am saying that well here's the answer. The colts roster from last year to this year is relatively unchanged on both offense and defense. They haven't had any major changes with the staff or the personnel. The only thing that is truly different about the Indinapolis Colts this season is that Peyton Manning is not on the Football Field. Last season the Colts ranked 4th in points and 4th in yards on the offense. This season they rank 28th and 30th. Peyton Manning is the Entire Offense, he is known for taking no name schlubs and making them football players. The Colts went from a constant playoff team to a bottom of the barrel group of misfits. Why? Becasue Peyton Manning was not taking the snaps.

Peyton Manning technically is the most valuable player. Because of one player the Colts are competing for the first pick in the draft instead of a Title

While I do agree Peyton could be the MVP, that is not how the award works and it will be either Rodgers or Brees.

And yes, the MVP thread is one or two below yours.

Because the award should go to someone who played a valuable role in a team's success this year, not last year. Yes the Colts would be better with Manning but he didn't play a single down, and wasn't valuable to his team this year.

I guess Kurt Warner should have gotten the award last year because of the drop off we saw from his team after he retired. Jay Cutler should be considered for this year because his team has lost 5 straight since he went down.

Don't seriously suggest someone who did nothing on the field for their team this year should get an award, especially when you have 3 QBs who are having the years that Rodgers (should be MVP), Brees and Brady are having.
