Jared Sullinger

didn't want to put this in the college thread because i want to discuss him as a pro.

so what do you guys think of him? personally i think he's going to be unguardable, i think guys that are big enough to guard him aren't going to be quick enough and guys that are quick enough to guard him are just going to get bullied, he is dominating at ohio state and he's usually dominating 2 defenders at once... he has a good perimeter game for a power forward, and has got a backside built for dominating in the post

i think he'll go #1 overall and i think he's going to be a force in the league

(i know, thats a lot of speculation, BUT, i can't resist, and i cannot wait to watch him in the NBA)

Re: Jared Sullinger

From the little I've seen...he's too undersized to play PF in the NBA. And he's too slow to play SF. He does have a ton of skill though. It'll take him a year or two or three to adjust to the size and speed of the NBA game, but after that he should be a solid starter and a guy who gets you 15 and 7 every night.

Re: Jared Sullinger

If Kevin Love can run **** in the NBA I don't see why Sullinger won't have legit chance at doing so.

he's 6'9 280... thats too small to play power forward? thats bigger then kevin love and carlos boozer and about as big as zach randolph....

he's incredibly nimble fora man his size as well

Re: Jared Sullinger

Heighth (spelling?) wise, yes it is. An inch or two or three in the NBA can make a big difference. I've watched Boozer and Millsap, both undersized PFs for most of their careers and can tell you that when a PF is going against another PF taller than them, it causes trouble. And from what I've seen from Sullinger, he can't jump very high. So, unless he uses his body to move the taller players out of the way (and most likely get called for a foul), he's going to struggle for a year or two.

But, like I said, I've seen very little of him.

Re: Jared Sullinger

I like what I see out of the kid so far.

Being unguardable? I don't think so.

He seems to be comfortable with his back to the basket, and seems to have above average instincts in the post. And he likes to dunk. I like all of those things out of my big man.

Right now his ceiling/NBA comparison to me is a combo between Al Horford and Al Jefferson.

Re: Jared Sullinger

If David West can be very successful in the NBA at 6-9 240lbs then I think Sullinger can play PF at 6-9 280lbs. I definetly like what i've seen from him so far in College tho
