Choo wants a "transfer" to a winning team

Shin-Soo Choo, the Indians' best player, is quoted in the Korea Times that he prefers to "transfer" to a team that wins more.

Don't worry Choo. Soon you'll be too expensive for the Dolans and you'll be traded to the Yankees for a couple of minor leaguers.

Re: Choo wants a "transfer" to a winning team

Eh, can't say I blame him. While there's a good number of teams in the saddening state that the Indians are in, I feel they're the furthest away from competing in all of baseball. The Royals/Pirates/Orioles all have young talent upcoming, or already there and developing, that could change their franchises around, or at least make them competitive/entertaining. The Indians have...nothing. They had two Cy Young pitchers, traded them, and have nothing to show for it. LaPorta has done nothing, and he's not exactly a young prospect anymore. Carlos Santana is about the only bright spot, depending on how Grady comes back. Really, if Grady comes back okay, he'd make the most sense as trade bait.

WTF did this team sign Kerry Wood for?

Actually, it's not. A .300 average with 20 homers and 20 HR's and one of the strongest RF arms is a pretty good player.

If I could only describe the "best" player on my team as "pretty good", I'd be pretty depressed about my team.

Oh, he's a good player... but look at every other team's "best player" (even looking at pitchers) and tell me that's not depressing.

In other words, no wonder he wants out.
