NBA 2K24 OS Leagues

I wanted to put a thread together to organize online leagues now that we officially have crossplay (and hopefully a more polished online league experience).

I could see a few league options worth exploring. I can keep this thread updated for interest in the various league ideas. We can also use this thread to help organize various other 2K leagues around OS.

We can also setup a "preseason" NBA 2K23 league for us to get acquainted, but that won't be cross-platform, obviously. I'd say PS5 for that as that's what I have.

League Option 1: H2H

• H2H gameplay, no simming
• Seasons of 14-29 games
• Seasons are open for a calendar month at a time

League Option 2: Hybrid

• Some gameplay, some simming
• Seasons of 82 games
• Play 2-3 games per calendar week, and season lasts about a calendar month

League Option 3: Full Sim

• No gameplay, full simming
• Seasons of 82 games
• Sim a game week every 1-2 calendar days

Other Items:

• Commissioners would be needed
• How do we handle various skill levels?
• The other 900 things I'm forgetting!

Hey all, giving this a bump as I'd like to try and organize something either right now or after the Finals are over.

I'm thinking of a Start Today online league at the start of the offseason which we can either play H2H as a warmup for NBA 2K25, or we can quickly rip through some season(s) and maybe play the playoff games?

I'm open to whatever. I'd eventually like to use the base we build as a new NBA 2K25 league.
