PLEASE HELP ME

So I've just started playing Road to the playoffs after playing domination and other modes in myteam. The lag for me is unbearable, I get F "LATE" on every single shot, it can't be my internet speed. I can't make a three pointer even If it's wide open because by the time the player shoots my opponent is there to block it. Jordan misses everything. my opponent was hitting every three with ease. I was just getting my *** kicked by a guy with an all bronze team until it lagged out (what a surprise) how can I fix this to at least make it playable? Please!

Use a lan cable and avoid playing at the weekend.
