Real quick question… does anyone know when the opening day rosters are being released?

Blue Jays LF Anthony Santander joins elite club

Anthony Santander leads the Majors in homeruns with 20 as we reach Cinco de Mayo. What's striking is he has hit a homerun in seven consecutive games, joining only six others who have done this.

Those six players? Mike Trout, Angels 2022. Joey Votto, Reds 2021. Kendrys Morales, Blue Jays 2018. Kevin Mench, Rangers 2006. Barry Bonds, Giants 2004. Jim Thome, Indians 2002. The Blue Jays become the first team in MLB history to have two players who have hit homeruns in seven consecutive games.

When I hit the HR for his 7th straight the announcers said, "Who does he think he is, Joey Votto? Now with this bit of history the commentary is pretty special.

Only THREE players have ever hit a homerun in 8 consecutive games. Ken Griffey Jr., Mariners 1993. Don Mattingly, Yankees 1987. And Dale Long, Pirates 1956. Santander will have his chance in the home of Mike Trout.

Re: MLB The Show 25 Franchise Discussion

Cardinals swept by Rangers as woeful 2025 season continues into June

The Cardinals (22-37) were swept by the Rangers in Arlington over the weekend. The Cardinals are now 12 games out of first place in the Central and 10 games out of the wildcard.

This team just cannot find a way to play consistently and put together wins. Their 22 wins over the first two months of the season puts them on track to win just 66 games in 2025. The Cardinals reluctancy to do anything of value to improve the club this past offseason is showing. Couple that with injuries and you have the makings of a team that could lose 100 games this year and miss the playoffs yet again.

The Cardinals are already without Masyn Winn and Ivan Herrera until end of August first part of September and now you can add Brendan Donovan to that list, as he suffered a torn calf muscle in the game on Sunday. Donovan will not return until September sometime.

Its been a disappointing season but I don't know that its truly unexpected given they did nothing to improve the club during the offseason.

After an off day on Monday, the Cardinals will return home for a 3 game series with the Royals starting on Tuesday night.

Re: MLB The Show 25 Franchise Discussion

Texas Rangers MOM season 1 update

What a turn around for the Rangers after a rough start. We are 23 and 21 and sit 2 games out of first place. Nathan Eovaldi has been incredible. He is 7 and 0 and has an ERA of 1.5. Him along with Mahle and Degrom are pitching well. I would say I'd probably be 10 games over 500 if not for my bullpen. Outside of Martin and Chagrois we simply can't count on anyone holding a lead. Finding a 4th and 5th starter has been a chore. Bradford has landed on the IL twice and Rocker, Leiter, and Teodo all have struggled.

Leading the way on offense is Higgashiokwa and Seagar. Semien cannot put things together as he is hitting only 220. If we can clear up some pitching issues this team has unlimited potential

Other notes. Ohtani is unreal. Leads every single category. Hader was traded to Boston. That rookie catcher from Atlanta is killing it. Doug Baldwin
