Uniform Errors/Omissions

Is there an official thread for uniform errors/omissions like people create for the other sports? I was just watching the vids of the uniforms in the game and I see a bunch of errors/omissions.


Now before this thread gets locked or it becomes a battle between the style guide police vs. the 2K people or "it can only have x slots", let me just say/ask a few things.


1. Will PS4 be restricted to the same amount of uniforms since there is cross save between Vita?
2. This thread or an official one is just meant to list errors and not create a fight.


For instance:
The TB Rays have the Sunday home Columbia blue jersey omitted again. In the "slot" is the fake 70's throwback which is worn once per year. I'd rather have the Sunday jersey take up that slot...especially since the fauxback hat is all light blue again instead of having a cut out first light blue panel like the 70s Padres. Now this is where I call BS on the style guide argument. There is no way the MLB puts that hat in their style guide (just like there is no way they put a road blue Cubs jersey with a front number).


I'm a bonafide uniform nerd/jersey collector. If anyone wants me to watch the vids again, I can make a list. Again, this isn't meant to cause an argument, just meant to list out errors.

Take this with a grain of salt because I don't know what they have planned or how such things work at all, but I do not see cross save as a reason to have different uniforms.

Cross save simply takes the data about rosters and stats and standings and date and saves them in a manner which is accessible across two or more platforms. It would have nothing to do with what jerseys are worn once you jump into a particular save.

Cross play would be a different story, but cross save should not limit this.

It really depends on what resources they had to dedicate to more slots and whether they felt those resources could be better spent elsewhere. I would imagine that they could expand the options here with the power of the PS4, but maybe they thought that the time spent doing that could be used to polish up some other feature or asset to improve the overall quality of the PS4 version beyond what would be accomplished with additional uniform slots.

I guess we'll see, but I don't think it can be ruled out yet just as I don't think it can be expected either.

I have a couple of errors that are NOT style guide related and are either a mistake or hardware/template limitations.

Permanent Sleeve patches (A's elephant, chief wahoo etc) are way too small a scale compared to real life. I'd even say cap logos are slightly on the small side.

Another error/limitation is the piping on the A's gold alternate is way too thin/ narrow compared to real life. Unfortunately I can't find a show pic of the jersey but once I get the game I will post a comparison up.

I can see the Cubs jersey & Rays cap being in the style guide because just because somethings IN the style guide doesn't mean a team is wearing it on the field.

However the Rockies Black Alt...they didnt wear it last year..but I dont see how they would have it correct in the past and then randomly update the style guide with purple sleeves that they wore one time WAY back in the past.

Astros Road alternates are the same as the warmup jerseys
