The fact that baseball for some reason has been legacy-ed (yeah its not a word I know) with lag, unlike any other sport, could you all see if the issue has been squished this year? I know that its something that might not be up for showing at the community day but this is really the only issue that I feel is holding this franchise back from being one of the greatest of all time. If any of you can find out if the lag has been either killed/ or at least mostly killed that would be great thanks!

I'm sure they'll do what they can, but I wouldn't put too much stock into community day helping with that. These guys tried it out (including SCEA) extensively, but with there being nobody on their servers and everything pretty much local, it's probably impossible to accurately check for lag. I'm sure everyone will do what they can though.

I believe Russell played with a few guys online shortly after last year's release to try and pinpoint whatever issues there were, so maybe something like that helped and, if so, is something they can continue.

I will be checking out online and working with Ramone going through all the online league stuff.

I will try and gather as much information as I can and keep everyone updated.

The only thing we can check for online is features. Playing someone in the same building is not going to give everyone an idea about lag. Anyway, lag seems to be largely tied to the individuals playing to be honest.

This as well. Also last year IMO was a great improvement for latency. And they do things to improve upon it every year. (i.e. optimize code sent from peer to peer)

Ramone also mentioned in one of the videos that they are constantly improving that aspect of the game and have taken more steps in that area.

Actually, when I got our review copy of MLB 10 last year, I played with Ramone as soon as I got it, because the team wanted to see how things worked over wired and wireless. That's an aspect of the game that I'll definitely be focusing on as well, but in that environment, it probably won't be a good representation of how the actual experience will be.
