KNIGHT, You are TRULY the MAN!!!!

Last night, I took a pause in the game my Mets were playing against the Nats at CitiField. Pelfery was pitching, with 2 outs in the top of the 7th, trailing 1-0. He was at 86 pitches and had a 1-0 count on Cristian Guzman. At that point, the line was:

NATS 1-3-0
METS 0-6-0

So...while in pause, I went into the kitchen to get something to drink and to figure out why my Mets were on the way to being 1-5 (LOL).

Now we all know when the game is in pause, you hear the PA announcer make various announcements, the longer you're in that mode.

So I hear him say something along the lines of,"The New York Mets would like to acknowledge M.K. Knight of FD 109 who is here with us at the game tonight..."

I was like what the hell?!?!?!?!?

LOLOLOLOLOLOL

I'd NEVER heard that before!

nice.....

btw, I lost the game 5-0...
this game is something else...
unlike the last two versions, my team was never near the top in pitcher's strikouts...not until THIS year...My Mets are tied for 2nd (with Florida) with 58 K's. The Bosox are 4th with 56....and the Nats are #1 with 62. That's the good...

The bad, I'm not hitting worth a **** LOL
And that was opposite of 2008 and 2009.

But I will forward on....
Vince

Yep. I heard that the other night too. SCEA is top notch.

Yeah, that is really a nice gesture by the game developers. I was stunned first time I heard it.

You know what else really caught my ear (and CO residents should recognize it) was after playing a game at Coors Field, the PA Announcer makes an announcement about where to pick up the D and E lines to Mineral (and I'm blanking on the other) light rail (a popular form of transportation to Rockies games) at Union Station.

THAT is what I call research!

I heard the Atlanta version of that at the end of a home game the other night. They talked about MARTA (Atlanta's light rail system) and which stations would be open as fans left the game. I thought, EA needs to relinquish the "If it's in the game....." motto, cause they ain't got sh*t on SCEA (well not just because of this, but the million other killer little details in this game).

Speaking of killer details, I love how the fans along the lines reach over the wall to try to grab foul balls. Two things, a) someone falls over the wall way too often and b) has anyone ever seen a fan actually grab the ball?

Re: KNIGHT, You are TRULY the MAN!!!!

I'm playing a Red Sox frnachise and at Fenway the PA guy mentions Yawkey Way and something about catching the "T"

Awesome attention to detail

I was in Atlanta last year and heard a funny joke about what MARTA stands for. I can't repeat it on here though

Yeah , after the games at Progressive Field, or for those who are true Indians fans, Regressive Field, they mention the RTA, Tower City and the Walkway to Gateway. SCEA knows how to make playing this game a great experience.
