2009 Colorado Rockies

Might as well start this up with no playoff football.

We lost Holliday and Taveras, possibly Fuentes in the near future. The outfield will be interesting in how it shakes itself out. I believe Dexter Fowler will play center and Spilborgh to play left? How about Helton coming back, moving Atkins back to 3rd and potentially Ian Stewart finds his new home at 2nd.

Some coaching changes made, one familiar face along with them.

Hoping Jeff Francis is coming back 100% healthy and ready to do the grind all season long.

Any thoughts or predictions for this upcoming season?

Re: 2009 Colorado Rockies

While I may be Dodgers fan, I hope the Rockies can bounce back after a tough season. I am just wondering who will step up now that Holliday is gone. Atkins? Tulowitzki? Hopefully you guys can bounce back and we will have a good NL West race without the DBags, Mothers, and Giants.

So weird seeing him in the A's hat.

As for 'replacing' his bat, imo its Atkins leading the pack. Following behind him I would place Tulowiztki and Ian Stewart.

Our pitching staff again this year will be the wildcard for the team. Bullpen will be interesting if Fuentes leaves and we're with Buchholz and Corpas. Buchholz started to unravel a little bit at the end.

Closer role now lies on Corpas and Buchholz. Fuentes signed with the Angels

Jeff Francis still struggling with his shoulder pain and might have surgery to figure out whats wrong. Talk is that he has a good chance of missing this season

Didn't the A's trade Carlos Gonzalez to the Rockies? I'd believe he'd be the opening day starter in CF since he supposedly has so much potential

Dont think he'd be the starter with Hurdle running the show. He'll start someone that's been with the team and put in the time who he believes earned it. Spilborghs will likely get the nod

Carlos Gonzalez wont just get the spot just like that, guy has to earn it.
