MLB 2k12 2006 Roster for xbox 360

I started a roster project last night for the 2006 season, one of my favorites because it was Bernie's last season, Melky made that great catch against the Red Sox (I was at that game), Jeter almost got the MVP, Damon hit a homer 10 minutes after my grandfather (one of my best friends) died on August 15, I got my first game ball, the yankees swept the red sox up in fenway in a five game series, and it was just a great season to remember. Even though my favorite stadium ever, the old yankee stadium, and several other key stadiums are not in the game, I still wanted to recreate the season. So far I have finished the Yankees, Red Sox, Athletics, Braves, and most of the Diamondbacks, and I plan on also working on triple a and double a affiliates of teams so that this can be used in franchise mode. The games I have played so far are really close, so this looks to be a great roster. If anybody wants to make CAPs and post them to 2kshare, it will be greatly appreciated. Questions and comments are appreciated. I might upload a demo when about 10 teams are done or so, no guarantees though.

Re: MLB 2k12 2006 Roster for xbox 360

okay, so how I am going to do it regarding players that were injured for most of the year is I still have them in their respective organization, just not at the major league level. So for example, Hideki Matsui broke his wrist in may (i believe), and gary sheffield was injured for most of the year, and carl pavano was completely out for the entire year. I stuck all three down in the Scranton/wilkes-barre yankees team, triple a, which will also have prospects from that team. Until I make guys that spent the majority of the season on the yankees for example, I will fill the roster with guys like T.J. Beam and Darrell Rasner who were in the game anyway with fake names. Down in single A, I have guys like Jose Tabata and Austin Jackson. What I will do for minors is for example, if a player debuted in 2007, I will put them in AAA; if they debuted in 2008, I will put them in AA; if they debuted in 2009, 2010, or maybe 2011, they will be in 'A' Some special cases include Eduardo Nunez who was on Trenton in 2006.

a few problems, I used 2k's Jim Edmonds and his position is 1B, but in the lineup he is the center fielder. Same with Ken Griffey Jr.

Re: MLB 2k12 2006 Roster for xbox 360

ok, I spent a lot of time working on this so far and I have almost all of the teams hitters done and some teams pitchers done. Here is a list of all the teams with hitters done.

Angels
Astros
Athletics
Braves
Brewers
Cardinals
Diamondbacks
Dodgers
Giants
Mariners
Marlins
Mets
Padres
Phillies
Rangers
Red Sox
Reds
Royals
White Sox
Yankees

Teams with Hitters and Pitchers completely done

Angels
Astros
Athletics
Brewers
Cardinals
Diamondbacks
Dodgers
Mariners
Marlins
Mets
Rangers
Red Sox
White Sox
Yankees

I also stocked the yankees farm system with players from that year in Triple A, some double A and a bunch from single A. The red sox triple a team is done, but other than that everybody is pretty randomly scattered. Once finished, this roster will be the best roster for my player because it will be even more accurate than the rosters 2k releases.

this roster is close to being done, with the only incomplete teams being the Blue Jays, Orioles, and Tampa Bay. The reds and royals pitching staffs are still short on arms, but are complete to play with for one game. This roster is great for playoff mode, and I am still working out kinks with franchise mode.

Really excited to play with this one. Hitting with Howard and Ortiz is going to be fun.

Re: MLB 2k12 2006 Roster for xbox 360

UPDATE:

The final few teams are taking forever because there are not a lot of pictures and videos and most of the players are not well known. So I have started to look at individual cyberfaces and see whether the cyberface is accurate or doesn't look like the player did in 2006. For example, Chipper Jones. I am going to find a fake third baseman that I think looks like Chipper used to and use it. If you don't like the look, I will keep the real chipper in single a so you can use him instead. Also, i added Tino Martinez and Sammy Sosa to the free agent list, something I hope to beef up with real players by the time i release the roster. Tino is 81 overall because he was coming off a monster year, and Sosa is 79. Tino could have played another year but retired as a yankee, and Sosa joined the Rangers in 2007.
