Please explain the sliders to me

I've checked the sliders forum and there's just too much going on and it's incredibly confusing. Before playing my last game, I increased my Pass Coverage slider from 25 to 40 and raised my Run blocking slider from 0 to 30. I made these changes based on some things that I read on the sliders forum. Apparently, LOWERING your run blocking slider makes you block BETTER? And LOWERING your Pass Coverage is supposed to get you TIGHTER coverage from your DBs? Well, my running game was a bit overpowered, so I raised my run blocking slider to make my running game a little more normal and less 7 yards per carry. Raising my slider seems to have worked slightly as i ran for around 5 yards per carry and the defense seemed to have more push up front. But my pass coverage sucked, so I originally had my PDRT set to like 80 and my Pass Coverage set to 25 because these are supposed to give you better coverage. I also raised my Defensive PI slider to 75 as that's supposed to help give tighter coverage. It doesn't make any sense to me, but I did it anyway because I figure the guys on this forum know what they're talking about.

So, the run blocking slider turned out fine. No complaints. But the pass coverage slider hadn't been working, so I just raised it to 40 to see what would happen. I also lowered DPI from 75 to 60. So for some reason, the opposing QB was completing passes much more quickly than normal. He was getting rid of the ball much quicker and taking a lot less sacks and hits. The coverage looked the same as it had looked before I adjusted the sliders, but the QB just seemed to be making faster reads. Also, they called like 10 penalties in that game. I don't know if it had to do with me messing with the penalty slider, but I've never seen so many penalties called in one game since I started playing Madden 25. They didn't call DPI, but they called a lot of holding, facemask and offsides penalties.
I also seemed to have a much weaker pass rush I this game. It may be because my defense was tired for being on the field a lot. I'm not really sure. I didn't mess with the Pass Blocking slider, but it seems that one thing affects another unrelated thing when it comes to sliders.

I just want someone to tell me what their sliders are set to and what kind of results they're having.
For example:

Sliders same for User & CPU
QB Accuracy 40
Pass blocking 50
WR catching 40
Run blocking 20
Pass defense reaction time 60
Interceptions 20
Pass coverage 30
Tackling 40

User passing game...about right. Can pass for 200-300 ypg with 60-65% completion rate

User running game....vastly overpowered, averaging about 7-8 rushing ypg with offensive line opening massive holes up the middle and edge sealed off consistently on outside running plays

User pass blocking...average, usually have ample time to throw when defense is not sending extra rushers. QB gets hit or sacked if taking too long to get rid of the ball.

User run blocking...vastly overpowered, offensive line gets ridiculous push on most running plays, even run blocking on special teams seems too good

User pass coverage...slightly underpowered, players seem to get lost or confused in man coverage and take extra steps in wrong direction. Zone coverage seems about adequate.

CPU passing game...slightly overpowered, CPU QB completes over 70% of passes consistently even with below average QBs and can easily hit 300 passing yards per game even with below average QB or receivers

CPU running game...underpowered. Highly rated offensive lines don't generate any push and HBs tend to average well under 4 YPC

CPU run blocking...vastly underpowered, no push, no one seals the edge on outside runs, poor blocking on special teams as well

CPU pass blocking...vastly overpowered, CPU QB has inordinate amount of time to throw even when sending five to seven defenders after the QB. Players on the right side of the line will pick up blitzes from the left consistently. Unrealistic.

CPU pass coverage...about average. Defenders seem to play up to their abilities...highly rated defenders will cover more tightly and deflect or intercept more passes. Defenders with low ratings will allow more completions, not recover well from press coverage and make less plays on the ball.

If a couple of guys could just give me an overview of how their sliders are working for them like I did in the example above, it would be much appreciated.

Re: Please explain the sliders to me

I use even sliders for personal preference. Here they are and I'll post stats from over 100 games

Qb Accuracy-5
Run Block-0
WR Catch-75
Pass Block-0
Fum-50
Int-25
PDRT-25
Pass D-50
Tck-50
Threshold-0

All penalties 5 except for Holding, Offsides, False Start, Roughing the Kicker/Passer all 75.

User Passing Game- Probably a little overpowered, too many dropped int's by the cpu. If you take PRDT down to 5 it makes the passing game much more difficult. Receivers will have a hard time breaking man coverage. Pass blocking is solid, realistic amount of sacks. (60.9% Cmp Pct, 236 ypg, 192tds-82 ints, 92.2 rtg, 112 games)

User Running Game- IMO, spot on. The read option works about 60% of the time and there are many carries of 5yds or less. (144ypg, 4.5ypc, 122tds). I run a lot.

CPU Pass Game- There are times when I can't stop them to save my life and others when they can't move it at all. I have a monster d-line and will usually have 2 guys with double digit sacks. Int's are a little too high but nothing too drastic. I have 4 cb's at 85+ (63.4%, 246.5 ypg, 170 td-150int, 82.0 rtg)

CPU Run Game- This again could be a product of my d-line but the CPU struggles to run. Sometimes though it feels like the playcalling. For example, 1 game I played they had 122yds on 3 carries and then passed the ball for the next 15 plays. Here are the stats (78.5 ypg, 3.6ypc, 60 tds)

Re: Please explain the sliders to me

Thx for the response. Can u post your defensive player's ratings so I have some idea of how your players affect your defensive production? My D line is prbly the best in the league. Both my DEs, Greg Hardy and Charles Johnson are rated 99 overall. Star Lotulelei (DT) is a 94. My other DT is an 85. My linebackers are also very good. Kuechly is a 90, Beason is a 94 and Thomas Howard is an 83. My secondary is good at safety then falls off at CB. FS is an 88 and SS is a 90. My CBs are 84, 84, 83 and 80. They're all Zone defense players, meaning they're zone coverage is usually higher than their man coverage. When I get home, I'm gonna see if I can figure out exact figures on what kind of numbers opposing offenses are putting up against me.

Re: Please explain the sliders to me

^^^^^^^^The first link was cool. The other two were dated 2012, so they must have been referring to Madden 13. The sliders only referred to Penalty sliders.

I still want to post the opposing QB's numbers over my first eight games. I'll also post my sliders and see if I can get some input.

QB.....QB RATING.....PASSING YARDS.....TDs/INTs.....COMP %

M. Stafford.....53.5.....311.....0/3.....60%
M. Ryan.....113.6.....305.....2/0.....74%
J. Freeman.....39.4.....234.....0/4.....53%
J. Locker.....60.5.....193.....1/2.....57%
J. Freeman.....106.1.....354.....1/0.....69%
M. Barkley.....68.7....264.....1/2.....61%
D. Brees.....89.8.....260.....2/1.....63%
A. Luck.....71.3.....262.....2/3.....65%

As you can see, the only QBs who had good games against me were Matt Ryan in week 2, Josh Freeman in week 5 and Brees in week 7. My D is doing a good job with only 9 passing TDs allowed and 15 interceptions, but they've been giving up a lot of yardage averaging 273 YPG. I've been running a lot of zone defense until weeks 7 and 8 when I got Dominique Rodgers Cromartie back from an injury so I started runnning a lot more man defense. It was probably an even split between man and zone defense in the last two games.

Here are my problems:
1) I'm not getting much pressure on QBs. The only way I've been getting sacks is when the QB tries to scramble and runs into a sack or they just hold on to the ball forever and take a sack. My defensive line is really good. Their ratings from RE to LE are 99, 85, 94, 99. My LBs ratings ROLB to LOLB are 83, 91, 94. Secondary, CB2 to CB1 is 84, 89, 90, 84. In terms of player ratings, my defense is pretty good, so I expect better pressure.

2) Poor man coverage. My DBs are better at zone coverage than man, so I run a lot of zone defense. But without a good pass rush, zone defense is very ineffective at limiting passing yards. I've started running more man defense and blitzing more and more, but it doesn't seem to be helping as the QB just gets rid of the ball quickly and I can't get consistent pressure, anyway. Also, when I run man defense, my defenders are completely lost. I've seen them actually stop running for a second, run in the opposite direction or slow down and allow the receiver to get a ton of separation.

3)Run defense doesn't help....I thought I was allowing so many passing yards because I took away the run and the CPU was forced to throw the ball more often. But then the Titans and the Eagles and the Saints proceeded to run very well against me getting over 100 rushing yards and over 5 YPC.

Here are my sliders:

Player/ CPU sliders are the same
QB accuracy 40
Pass Blocking 25
WR catching 50
run blocking 30
fumbles 50
PDRT 70
INTs 20
Pass coverage 35
tackling 40

Overall, my games are pretty good in terms of game experience. My main problem is my pass defense and my defenders doing stupid things at times. If I could get these issues fixed, I'd be happy. After all, there's a lot of good QBs I played and those are the kind of numbers they put up. I just expect my defense to be substantially better considering the quality of players I have.

4-3 Cover 2, ratings of each position

LE-99
RE-97
DT-83
DT-82
LOLB-81
MLB-88
ROLB-89
CB1-90
CB2-89
CB3-82
FS-81
SS-97

My RE is a 99 DT and I will often slide him over to that position and sub in a RE 84 OVR, 92 PMV, 84 BSH. I play a lot of nickel so I mainly focus on MLB, ROLB.
