Single Player Scouting

i want to scout where kinda similar to how the real nfl draft goes so while doing my offline CCM i was thinking of things i could do and i came up with this idea and i want others opinions

in real life all teams know a players 40 time(spd acc) bench reps(str) and cone drill(agility acc) vertical(jump) so my thought process since you can reload an offline game was to scout every single players ratings for each of those catagories(not the full rating but the letter grade) and type it all up in a spreadsheet.

then after i get all of those ratings i take a percentage of the players in the draft pool say %75 and i use all of the scouting points i have to scout that percent on each postion

example if there is 16 WR's in the draft class i scout all of them and find out their jump acceleration speed agility strength(maybe awareness and use that as the test that all of the players take at the combine) and then reload and scout 12 of those players as individual workouts and prodays and the skill drills that go on at the combine.

usually a madden class for scouting has somewhere between 230-250 players that you can scout while roughly 300 get invited to the combine

is this cheating or does this seem fine?

Don't scout awareness. It makes it too easy because awareness is a significant indicator of OVR.

And actually, to the OP, I just started doing this too. I scout players for their physical abilities and put them into Microsoft excel. I thought I was a nerd. I guess I still am, but so are you.
