Lets face it tiger woods days at the top are over. Golf is headed in a new direction. One of youthfulness. Rickie Fowler is the perfect next cover boy for ea sports golf game. So who would buy this game instead?

Yea, so, remember several years ago when the talking heads were sure that guys like Adam Scott, Charles Howell III, and Sergio Garcia were the future of the game? Or how about Justin Rose who just finally broke through this week at age 29? They've all become competent but not elite tour pros. Hooray?

Tiger has nothing to do with whether or not I buy the game, so sure, assuming the game is good enough to be worth buying (last year's certainly was). But if you need to go young and relatively not boring (so far as golfers go) then why not Rory McIlroy or Anthony Kim? They're both significantly more established than Fowler right now.

I couldn't care less who is on the cover of any game I buy. I would be just as happy with a picture of some random picture of a course or something. The same applies to other sports games, don't care at all just put the title on the box.

The 59.99 that EA will lose from not having Ricky Fowler will end up being EA's down fall. I expect EA to file for bankruptcy before Madden hits the shelves.
