Waiver Wire Talk

OK, so I admit that I am not the best, nor the most knowledgeable FF player around. I do fairly well, but have never actually won a league.

Here are the moves I made...

I dropped Ronnie Brown and added Cadillac Williams. I am not sure how long Steven Jackson will be out, but Williams could add some much needed production to the RB spot for me. I am HURTING in this area. I have Chris Johnson, Jonathan Stewart, Marshawn Lynch, Danny Woodhead, and now Cadillac. He immediately starts for me this week and I'm hoping that it pays off.

Move #2... I dropped James Jones and added Nate Burleson. Kind of a boring move, but I am hoping it pays off. Burleson is the Lions' #2 receiving option behind Megatron, while Jones might struggle to get some looks from Rodgers.

Move #3... WHAT IS FANTASY FOOTBALL IF YOU CAN'T BE BOLD? This move could prove to be idiotic, and perhaps WAY too knee-jerk, but I did it anyway. I dropped Zach Miller (I have Aaron Hernandez) and added... CAM NEWTON. I have Brees and Bradford, so Newton is my #3 QB, which I know is stupid in itself, but I am playing with some guys who love to buy into the hype. I know at least two guys who were going to pick up Newton, but the problem is, I am awake and they are not, and the waiver period just released, so I am thinking that I have some serious trade bait on my hands. I do know that it kind of seems stupid, and I never plan on playing Cam, but he's worth the roster spot for now due to the allure that he has with the other owners in my league. If I can upgrade my RB position by picking up Newton, I'll do it.

Dumb? Probably... But I see it as low risk (dropping Miller)/high reward (getting a nice return on him).

My team is now:

QB: Brees, Bradford, Newton
RB: Chris Johnson, Stewart, Lynch, Woodhead, Cadillac
WR: Larry Fitz, Dez Bryant, Meachem, Ochocinco, Burleson
TE: Aaron Hernandez
D/ST: Ravens
K: Josh Brown

I know my team needs some help...

Re: Waiver Wire Talk

Got no problem with any of your moves. And the "boring" one was probably the best out of all of them.
