Gaining Player Stats

If I want to get a year's worth of stats for my players, at what point will they show as last year? Is it after I hit START for the new season, after the off-season stuff is over? After pre-season is over?

I want stats for my 1985 file from "1984" although I don't care if it says 1984 on their "card". Never did figure out how to roll back time.

I think the career stats appear as the past year after you enter the off-season. If you want to play 1985 but have the 1984 stats show up, start a season with 1984 and just simulate the season. Make sure no one retires or whatnot and then just start the 1985 season. It should be the same as if you were to play the 2007 season and then play the 2008 season.

Can stats be edited for accuracy/realism? I know they can be cleared in the editor but can they be tweaked?
