Re: puja21 franchise v2 (150+ NCAA players in draft)

As per usual, utilize the default draft class fix to keep it from freezing AFTER the 2nd season (it works fine all the way up until the 07-08 draft).

after 07-08 playoffs end BEFORE the draft starts, load a default draft class. like last time, ive attached default classes for '08 through '11. all the generated draft pool players in these classes have the correct age (~21/22) for the corresponding season.

Ive been waiting for a franchise file this precise and this is exactly what i needed to keep my cowboys dynasty days in nfl 2k5 alive. thanks alot man for all your work keep it up and why no love to steve breaston the wr from Michigan? Excellent work man you just stepped up the interest in 2k5 just wondering why you included sophmores in this years draft class but none the less its ausome even having an option to draft real college prospects. Thanks again for all the ausome work and keep it up

i will probably take many of the sophomores out as i keep advancing this file more and more. i am constantly adding more players- you'll see another release in the not too distant future which will most likely contain Steve Breaston.

Just today, i added a 7th site to my list of sources- ESPN insider NFL draft ratings- & I saw plenty of deserving upperclassmen listed who are missing from my file, so expect most returning college players to be gone in time (Ainge for instance already said he is staying in).

Remember, you can always add whoever you want by overwriting a sophomore or anyone for that matter. Follow the link at the bottom of my first post in this thread to my version 1 thread. There are pretty detailed instructions on how to safely change names. It only takes a moment to add a new guy.

Also, if you have your own ratings for regular NFL players (your Cowboys for instance), you can also use Finn's editor to paste over just the ratings from your roster into my franchise.

So far i'm working on improving ratings and adding these guys for v3:
C Kalil, Ryan USC
CB Wright, Eric UNLV
DE Carriker, Adam Nebraska
DE Crowder, Tim Texas
DT McBride, Turk Tenn
DT Dorsey, Glenn LSU
DT Okam, Frank Texas
FS Zbikowski, Tom ND
SS Johnson, Michael Arizona
OT Ugoh, Tony Arkansas
WR Breaston, Steve Michigan

If you havent already, you should also use NFLDraftCountdown.com as one of your sites for rookie / draft info.

the description is linked by my first post in this thread. based on OSDCR, so if you are asking about aggression or awareness adjustments- that sort of thing- then see the OSDCR thread for details on that basefile.

my own edits were made based on performances this season. i have gone into great detail in my roster postings, so you can either look there or just check my post history.

however, i have also made recent edits for the v2 file just to the skill positions (QB RB WR) to allow for more parity between stars and career backups. For instance I didn't want EVERY QB to have a minimum rating of ~80 for PAC, PST, PRC, & CMP like it was for the OSDCR. Specifically 3rd string-caliber guys have been adjusted down accordingly.

Same goes for 3rd & 4th caliber WRs, with adjustments to this position being CTH, RRT, & CON instead of passing ratings... I only adjusted each position's specific skill attributes- not the player's speed, agility etc.

For v3, i'm going to look at needed changes for all the TEs & FBs... the ratings at these positions IMO seem really inflated in the OSDCR. too many blocking specialists are excellent receivers and vice versa
