T-Mobile Android phones

I'm looking to get a new phone, currently have a Blackberry Curve and want to purchase an Android phone. My choices are the Motorola Cliq, Tmobile G1, or the myTouch 3g. They are listed from least expensive to most. Sucks I have to pay full price but I want a new phone.

I was wondering if anyone has one of these and can vouch for which is the best one.

Re: T-Mobile Android phones

There's a couple of threads on here and personally, I haven't had one, but everyone I've seen with one has enjoyed it and has not been disappointed.

What about the new Droid Eris? I believe that's available on T-Mobile. I have an upgrade coming up and I'm thinking about going to the Nexus One which debuts for Verizon in Spring. My upgrade's in April.

From my research, the Eris has less features then the one from Motorola. However the Motorola Droid is only by Verizon though. The Moto Cliq is a waste of money. I have had 3 co workers try it out and they all returned it 2 days later.

Re: T-Mobile Android phones

I have the mytouch3G and it is a very good phone. With the new Google maps update, we now have free turn-by-turn navigation. Their app catalog is growing rapidly as well. There's a lot of things to like about android devices. T-Mobile is getting a couple new ones in the next couple of months. The mytouch is probably the best one on T-mobile right now unless you get the Nexus One through Google.com/phone. It runs on T-Mobile's 3G network, but you would have to pay $530 to get the phone outright. Hope this helps.

I have the 3G MyTouch as well. It's the first phone like this I've ever had so I can't speak on much experience. But I really like the phone, I use it all the time and it seems to work real good.

I love my G1, but it's outdated. I've heard only good things about the MyTouch, so I would go with that one. I don't want it because I love qwerty keyboards. I don't know too much about the Cliq.

Imo, cnet.com gives the best reviews on all electronics.

Re: T-Mobile Android phones

Can anyone vouch for the apps and the app market? I know they probably can't touch apple in that regard, but I love the ESPN radio app, Iheartradio, etc. Do they offer those or have anything similar?

Yeah, there are some features on the G1 that drive me crazy. For instance when you open up an Internet window and navigate to another application the phone will refresh the internet window. It's a huge pain if the window has a lot of pictures on it.
