Will EA ever get rid of theBest way to defend against the CPUs 3rd period adjustments

I am getting a little tired of EAs Imfamous come back AI.
This happens a lot AGAIN in NHL 12. I just played a game where I was up 4-2 with 10 mins to go in the 3rd and the CPU scores 4 straight goals on 6 shots when before Thomas (goalie) saved 30 of 32 shots before the come back AI kicks in.

I dont mind if they are legit goals where they beat my goalie cleanly but its easy saves where the goalie should have had them and he was making tougher saves than that in the 2nd period.

Not to mention the computer seems to never miss a pass when this come back AI kicks in.

Did you set your pressure to defend lead or at least conservative? Did you change your forecheck to be the conservative 1-2-2? Did you try to defend the lead or just keep attacking?

I've been able to defend leads, but you have to change your attack and be a lot more conservative. If the other team changes to all out attack and you don't counter, they are going to score on you.

They won't fix it if they don't believe it exists.

Sorry to disappoint the OP, but there is no such thing.

Trust me, I used to think that there was some sort of "comeback AI" all the time. But I realized it's all about how YOU play the game. If you're still trying to be aggressive when you're up 5-0, expect to get burned at least a few times.

thanks for the endorsement :-). anyways my suggestion to the TC is to not lighten up on D late in games. the cpu really works their butts off to tie games and go ahead. bring an extra offensive player back on D and clear out the garbage in front of the net (a nod to coach bombay right there). cpu teams really gear up for rebounds late which also leads to goalies being screened and "easy" saves turn in to goals simply that the goalie couldnt see.

I am not saying this is 100% the problem, but when i first started playing this and blowing leads late I was like "wow, ok not like nhl 11 at all anymore. cpu teams will make you play the full 60 (or 20, 15, 10, etc) minutes of a game to earn W."

There is a such thing and its sad EA wont admit it, maybe they cannot find it. But it is there. it does not happen all the time but it does happen a good number of the time. You cant tell me when I am winning 4-2 in the 3rd and my goalie cant save a shot that a pee wee goal could save there is not some short of cheap AI going on to let the CPU catch up.

Because that same goalie that let in a few soft goalies to give up the lead was standing on his head when I was tied or behind in the 1st and 2nd periods with shots he had no chance on but just happened to get lucky and save them.

I am not trying to play aggressive, but when the CPU takes 5 shots and scores on 3 of them and they are all soft goals something shady is going on. Because once the CPU gets ahead that same goalie starts making those saves again and the crazy ones as well.

Like I said I dont care if the CPU comes back because of something I did wrong, but when the CPU takes a normal shot on goal that should be saved and it just happens to go in, that is not fair beause there is nothing you can do to prevent that.
