How do you recruit good players with Notre Dame?

So I decided to try out a 5 star team to help me practice more with recruiting, however I noticed when I started up a dynasty with Notre Dame there were hardly any recruits interested in my team, zero 5 star and maybe three 4 star recruits had me in their top 10. My pipeline was east Texas so I backed out and tried Ohio since I heard that was good for lineman but same issue.

Mostly I am seeing recruits where their dealbreaker is “proximity to home” and they live in Texas or California or somewhere where it’s a B or B- rating for me. Does anyone have tips? Would hate to just use the SEC teams since I know they are easy to recruit with

Do it backwards, win a natty or two first, then sit back and reap the rewards when the chips start falling in line for South Bend.

In cases like this the prestige of the school should probably override this sort of thing but honestly with ND their prestige and pro potential should be high enough to offset this. Also keep in mind your playing style grade adjusts per recruit so as the weeks progress check back in with recruits to see if your grade has bumped up enough to open another pitch for them.

I didn't have this problem albeit I only did >3 dynasty years with ND. I got no 5* the first year but 2 the second year. I got plenty of 4* both years though. I did notice a lack of players who had me in their top 5 or even top 10, but identify fits for your team early on, offer scholarships early and send the house on those guys. You will move up some of their lists fast. If you don't move up fast after a few weeks and it looks like it's a lost cause, then reevaluate and probably best to let them go and pursue others in order to better spend your recruiting hours.

I haven't used Notre Dame, but they were a pain in my *** when I was at Ohio State when it came to recruiting. They beat me so often in head to head battles in recruiting that I made sure to play them every season just to beat them and try and stop those recruits from continuing to commit there.

Schedule them as a home game and make recruiting visits that weekend for extra points for recruits that are interested in both schools lol
