Maryland and Texas schedule Home and Home

2014 is at FedEd Field and 2015 is at Texas.

Return game in Texas in 2015. Nice to see us actually having the balls to do something like this. Notre Dame next year and now Texas for 2 games. Hope by that point our new AD and coach will have the program on solid footing and we will be able to compete.

CAN A MOD MOVE THIS TO COLLEGE FOOTBALL SECTION

Wow, we're going to get destroyed.

Hopefully this will give some more motivation to improve the program by then.

Byrd Stadium sucks

Fedex sucks, but at least it's big.

So it was probably more of Maryland's decision?

It was probably on Texas' side but Maryland probably didn't fight it too hard.

Whatever the share of the profits UMD gets at Byrd vs a normal opponent would probably be less than the 35,000 additional fans at Fedex.

There's no way that UMD could handle a game against a big southern school. There's no parking, RV lots, and by the date of the game, there's a 50/50 chance that there may not be any driving on campus.

Respect to Maryland for having the balls to do this.. But you can only get better by playing the best.
