"It happened, it happened!", one of my favorite calls of all time.

So many memorable moments, his domination of Joe Frazier and his loss in the Rumble in the Jungle.

I didn't know of Foreman in the 1970's, but when he made his comeback in the 1990's, even as a youngster myself, I could still appreciate what he was doing at his age and the inspiration he was for older gentlemen. And he really wasn't ''old'' then. Just old for an athlete in general but especially old for the Sweet Science specifically. RIP.

Great champ, great color commentator but most importantly he was a great man...It was an honor to watch him perform in the ring...

RIP

Re: "Big" George Foreman dies at age the of 76.

The only Professional Boxing match I ever saw live was likely in the late '60s or very early '70s and it was a young George Foreman versus someone I can't even remember his name. But it lasted only a couple short minutes as Foreman literally lifted him up off the canvas with a massive uppercut that ended that bout in the 1st round. At that moment I knew I had witnessed one of the Greatest Punchers of All-Time in George Foreman --- not to mention how Massive he looked coming into the Ring ........ Followed him closely there after for his entire career.

Aw, here it is: 11 Win 11–0 Bob Hazelton TKO 1 (6), 1:22 Dec 6, 1969 20 years, 330 days International Hotel, Winchester, Nevada, U.S.

Hard to believe Foreman, Frazier, and Ali are all now gone. Last of the golden age heavyweight champs.
