SEASON SERIES 1-0 DET |
MVP: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. The 2nd year guard came through with clutch shot after clutch shot for the Pistons on his way to a 22 point night on 8-of-14 shooting from the field including going 3-of-6 from behind the arc. Could this be a sign for big things this season for the former Georgia Bulldog.
LVP: Nate Robinson the super 6th man came in and played like a super scrub on opening night. Robinson went 2-of-13 from the field for only 4 points in 22 minutes off the bench. Denver was a -12 while Robinson was in the game, the 3rd highest on the team.
X-Factor: Kyle Singler. The former Blue Devil was a stat sheet stuffer racking up 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assist, and a block shot while knocking down 4 of his 5 three pointers. Playing with a Drummond/Smith frontcourt, Detroit needed all the hot shooting they could get.
Rookie Watch: Gary Harris. Harris logged 19 minutes of action and fished with 5 points on 1-of -6 shooting. The 19th overall pick had a rough NBA debut.
Injury Report: Wilson Chandler. Chandler went down in the 2nd quarter with a Torn ACL that will keep him out the rest of the 2014-2015 season.
