The Tigers took game one, 4-2. Kyle Dutcher (8) had a home run and three RBI in the win. Casey Mize (3-0) went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits, earning the win.


4/18/25 TIGERS 6 ROYALS 5

BOX SCORE



The Tigers scored three runs in the bottom of the 10th, to stun the Royals 6-5. Kansas City led 5-3 going into the bottom of the 10th. Matt Vierling (1) hit a two run home run to tie the game. Colt Keith later singled in a run, walking off the Royals. Kenta Maeda had his best start of the season, going 6 innings, allowing 3 runs, but he took a no decision.


4/19/25 TIGERS 3 ROYALS 1

BOX SCORE



Tarik Skubal (5-0) went 6 innings, allowing just a run on 6 hits, with 9 strikeouts. Kyle Dutcher (9) hit a three run home run in the bottom of the first to account for all the Tigers runs.


4/20/25 TIGERS 4 ROYALS 3

BOX SCORE



The Tigers completed the sweep with a 4-3 10 inning win. Kyle Dutcher (10) homered again. Riley Greene drove in a pair of runs, including the game winner in the 10th. Jack Flaherty went 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits, but didn't factor in the decision



UP NEXT

The Tigers remain home where they welcome the San Diego Padres (11-11) for a three game series. Following an off day on Thursday, the Baltimore Orioles come to town for a three game set.

TIGERS (22-3) SWEEP PADRES


4/21/25 Tigers 13 Padres 7

BOX SCORE



The Tigers won a slugfest in game one, by a 13-7 score. Kyle Dutcher (11) homered, and drove in 3. Javier Baez (1) had a three run home run. Riley Greene drove in a pair of runs.


4/22/25 TIGERS 4 PADRES 1

BOX SCORE



Colt Keith (2) and Spencer Torkelson (5) homered, leading the Tigers to a 4-1 win over the Padres in game 2. Caseu Mize (4-0) allowed just one run on 4 hits over 6 innings.


4/23/25 TIGERS 8 PADRES 5

BOX SCORE



Colt Keith (3) homered for the second straight game, leading the Tigets to a 8-5 win, and a series sweep. Keith drove in two. Javier Baez, Matt Vierling, and Riley Greene also drove in two each. Kenta Maeda started, but left the game after just 2.1 innings, with elbow discomfort. Brant Hurter earned the win in relief.


UP NEXT

The Tigers have an off day on Thursday, then will host the Baltimore Orioles (14-10) for a weekend three game series. Following that, the Tigers will head out on a nine game road trip, with stops in Houston, the LA Angels, and Colorado.

TIGERS NOTES

Following the game on Wednesday, Kenta Maeda was placed on the 15 day I.L. He is scheduled to undergo tests on Thursday, but the fear is that he may need season ending elbow surgery. No corresponding roster move was made, but it is expected that Jackson Jobe will be recalled to take Maeda's spot in the rotation.

TIGERS (24-4) WIN TWO OF THREE VS ORIOLES

Detroit dropped the opening game of the series, 5-3 to the Orioles. Tarik Skubal (5-1) was hit hard, to the tune of 5 runs on 10 hits over 5.1 innings. He took his first loss of the season. Spencer Torkelson (6) homered in the loss.


4/25/25 TIGERS 16 ORIOLES 3

BOXSCORE



The Tigers rebounded, slugging their way to a 16-3 win in game 2. Jack Flaherty (4-0) allowed 3 runs on 7 hits over 7 innings. Kyle Dutcher (13) homered twice, and drove in 3 runs. Colt Keith drove in 6 runs, and hit a grand slam in the third.


4/27/25 TIGERS 3 ORIOLES 1

BOX SCORE



Reese Olson (3-0) allowed 1 run over 6 innings, to earn the win in game 3. Kerry Carpenter (5) homered, and drove in 2 runs.



UP NEXT

The Tigers now head to Houston for a three game series against the Astros (14-13). Following that, they head to Los Angeles, for a four game series with the Angels, followed by a three game series in Colorado.

BOX SCORE



Kyle Dutcher (15) homered twice, and drove in four, leading the Tigers to a 8-4 win over the Astros. Kerry Carpenter (6) and Colt Keith (5) also homered for Detroit. Casey Mize (5-0) allowed four runs over six innings in the win.


4/29/25 TIGERS 3 ASTROS 0

BOX SCORE



Jackson Jobe (1-0) earned his first MLB win with five shutout innings. Jobe allowed six hits and four walks, while striking out seven. Zach McKinstry (1) homered, and drove in two.


4/30/25 TIGERS 9 ASTROS 0

BOX SCORE



Tarik Skubal (6-1) pitched a complete game 4 hit shutout, and Kyle Dutcher (17) homered twice, as the Tigers beat the Astros 9-0, completing the three game sweep. Dutcher drove in five runs. Trey Sweeney (1) also homered.



UP NEXT

The Tigers continue their 10 game road trip with a 4 game series in LA against the Angels (9-20).

TIGERS TAKE THREE OF FOUR FROM ANGELS ON THE ROAD


5/1/25 TIGERS 9 ANGELS 1

BOX SCORE



Kerry Carpenter went 4/5, and drove in three runs, leading the Tigers to a 9-1 victory. Parker Meadows, Gleyber Torres, Colt Keith, Matt Vierling, Javier Baez, and Spencer Torkelson had an RBI each. Jack Flaherty (5-0) scattered 5 hits over seven innings to earn the win. He struck out 10.


5/2/25 TIGERS 5 ANGELS 1

BOX SCORE



Kerry Carpenter (7) and Kyle Dutcher (18) each hit a solo home run, leading the Tigers to a 5-1 win. Riley Greene, Matt Vierling, and Spencer Torkelson had an RBI each. Reese Olson (4-0) allowed just one hit over 7 innings. The lone hit was a solo home run to Mike Trout in the 7th inning.


5/3/25 ANGELS 2 TIGERS 1

BOX SCORE



The Tiger bats went ice cold, with just 5 hits, as they dropped the third game of the series 2-1 to the Angels. Colt Keith had the lone RBI for the Tigers. Casey Mize (5-1) took the loss. He tossed 6 innings, allowing 3 runs (1 earned) and 11 hits.


5/4/25 TIGERS 6 ANGELS 1

BOX SCORE



Detroit rebounded to take the series with a 6-1 win in game four. Parker Meadows, and Riley Greene both drove in a pair of runs. Kerry Carpenter, and Jake Rogers had an RBI each. Jackson Jobe (2-0) allowed 1 run on 3 hits over 6 innings, earning the win. He struck out 6.



UP NEXT

The Tigers have an off day on Monday, then conclude their road trip with a three game series in Colorado, against the Rockies (11-23). Following that, they head back home for a six game home stand, with three games each with the Rangers, and Red Sox.
