Freedom

Fresh off my ban, I will just say this: all I care about is freedom. The right, as promised to me by the Constitution, to live my life as I will, within certain common-sense parameters. I worship the right to live my life as I will, to live and die as a consequence of my own decisions. I will never give up those rights - to own a gun, to speak my mind freely, to associate freely, etc - and will defend them to the utmost. I just want this one spin on the merry-go-round of Life to be lived on my terms, and respect the rights of others to do the same. If others don't get the same opportunities as me - tough shit. It's not a world of promises and never will be - just chances that you can make the most or not, depending on your courage.

I'm not going to respond to any subsequent posts in this thread, because I've said my bit as clearly as I know to say it. I may not even read any responses in this thread, because I'm not going to change to my stance. If this is my last post here, I'll happily stand by it.

In the years I've been around this board I've never seen anyone banned for vehemently defending freedom of the press, freedom of speech, illegal search and seizure, the emoluments clause, voter suppression, and any number of other parts of the constitution that have been attacked over the past couple of decades.

Mention guns though...

He wasn't banned for mentioning guns; he was banned for being an ass.

I know what he was banned for. His right to own a gun is important enough to him to make an ass of himself on a message board and it's something relatively common here and in other places when it comes to the 2nd ammendment. My point is it's difficult to take the defense of the constitution and "my rights" excuse seriously when guns are the only thing you're actually passionate about.

Given the constant attacks 2A faces, defenders can understandably get a little weary now & again.

2A defenders are often assholes long before they become weary

Im all for freedom. Keep government out of my life.

Free health care is all I want. And fuck the rest of the world. Take care of your self. Bring the troops home and protect our borders.

Let everyone else sort themselves out.
