When you are going through old stuff and find...
I apparently didn't keep my FBPRO 94 box and disks and I can't find my old Diamond Mind Baseball stuff. This is where it started for me though!

I remember when OOTP hadn't really separated itself from the field of baseball simulations just yet.. Diamond Mind and Baseball Mogul and others were all sort of bunched up, but now it's basically OOTP and the other guys. There are times I long to return to the simpler days of text sims just for nostalgias sake.. But then I fired up FOF1 at some point a few years back and I am absolutely amazed at how far the game has come under the hood. Used to be able to field a team of almost entirely stud players and spend plenty of time trying to decide who got to start.

When did OOTP start offering up downloads? I have been playing it for like 15+ years and can't remember ever owning a CD of it.

So this stupid thread got me to thinking about my old gaming. Which lead me to one of the very first games that got my attention:
Which lead me down a wikipedia hole to this page: Compute! Magazine Issue 113 which just cost me a solid 45 minutes, while I paged through it and found ads for Sim City, and the original Flight Sim, a review of the game above, and Micro League. Fun little trip. Don't miss the "1 Megabyte" PC!

I still have my Heroes of Might and Magic 2 (I think they still make this series) and my Might and Magic World of Xeen on CD. I think I tried to dust it off a few years ago and could not get it to work.

Apparently they went beyond Heroes of Might and Magic V (I picked up a 'complete collection' pack of 1-5 with all the expansions a while back, mostly out of nostalgia), sort of, as it was renamed Might & Magic Heroes for editions VI and VII.
