Board spam is going crazy

Seems to be an uptick. Is there some new bot system out there attacking Vbulletin?

Kinda funny that on a board for aging gaming enthusiasts they all seem to be ads for Cialis. Coincidence?

Very weird. We have a spam question filter that has to read and answered. We've had the same question/answer for like 6-8 years. My guess is that somewhere in SpamInternetWorld the answer to the question has gotten published. I'll change the question now.

I was thinking the same thing.

We need to change our ages in our profiles. Then maybe we would get dating sites with hot chicks.

My hotmail account gets tons of Cialis and Viagra spam. (It's the account I use to sign up for anything that might get spammy.)

As an aside: If you need help, eat better food and start a walking program. Problems down there mean you're well on your way to a stroke or heart attack. It's a sign your arteries are clogged with crap. Unclog them and address the real problem instead of treating the symptom of the underlying problem.

Come on Kodos. I just want better boners. No reason to get all serious and shit.

For the curious (ok, maybe just my own reference,) we had 1,897 new accounts registered in September 2010, 778 in October 2010, and 21 in November 2010. I'm guessing that I added the NoSpam question in October 2010. From November 2010-January 2015 we were mostly at 10-30 per month other than Dec 2013-Jan 2014 (FOF7 release), when it was significantly higher and remained up a bit for a few months. I'm pretty sure that February 2015 was the Steam release. We jumped up to mostly in the 30ish-70ish per month range from there until this month. We had 59 in April, 51 in May, 34 in June, 33 in July....and 101 new registrations already in August 2016. We had 17 new registrations *today* before 8:45am or so when I changed the question, and have had none since then. So I'd say my hypothesis of our answer getting put on some "get past NoSpam" list somewhere was the issue.
