He writes a letter to support a UK local band who have had restrictions placed on their practice hours and volumes

Has it actually been proven that Grohl is an HIV denier? We know Nate Mendel is, and seemed to be the instigator on all that nonsense. I've always been hopeful that Grohl was just told it was an AIDS fundraiser and didn't know the details, because over the years the band seems to have quietly distanced themselves from it, except for Mendel.
Grohl is a fascinating character to me. He has thrived in a culture that seems to be rampant with drug use, yet claims he has only used pot and LSD and hasn't done that in 27 years. He is an accomplished musician who has written incredible songs yet allegedly can't read or write sheet music and only writes and plays by ear. He has an 11th-grade education, but appears to be very eloquent, an excellent writer and well versed on a number of subjects (HIV denial not withstanding). Hes taken the “sane and humanistic“ position on so many issues that i am also willing to give him the benefit of the doubt here as well.
