2015 NFL Wild Card Weekend

Figured we could get this thread now that we are almost in the 2nd quarter

Panthers trying to keep the Cardinals in the game.

Now , one of "those" roughing the QB calls

Now I understand that Lindley is not the greatest QB in the world, but you think the NFL could come up with 60 or so dudes that could throw spirals at least.

What a sloppy game.

EDIT: On second thought, that's a TD

I think Cam Newton is a major douchebag, but he is fun to watch play.

That's the Ted Ginn I remember! To a certain extent I understand him running it back as they are not moving the ball on offense at all, but fair to say didn't work out so well.

I'm pretty sure that faux-PI call was the NFL's way of saying, "We think Cam Newton makes us more money in the next round of the playoffs."

It would still be 23-14 with Arizona having 62 yards of total offense. Not sure that's a recipe for an Arizona win.

So if you mean to throw it forward, even if it goes backwards/lateral it counts as a forward pass? Does that work if you mean to catch it, even if you drop it it counts as a catch? That's BS.

Even if I wasn't a Cardinals fan, this may be the worst NFL game I've ever seen. Bad offense, bad defense, and bad special teams by both teams, as well as bad officiating. Brutal.

This is how almost every Carolina game goes, except usually it'd be soething like 17-9, be happy for the high scoring!

Don't you have to bring in Logan Thomas at this point? Not like you have anything to lose.

I was arguing earlier that Lindley is the worst QB to ever start a playoff game. My buddy was saying it was Chris Simms.

He just conceded I was right.

A game Arizona could've won with just a mediocre QB.

That's what you get when you have a team with a losing record win in the post-season. A garbage game.

Problem being, Arizona clearly didn't belong in the playoffs either. Even with an 11-5 record.

Arizona with their starting QB belonged in the playoffs. But even with Stanton they weren't playoff level, and down to #3 they never stood a chance.

Was Lindley really the best option out there? I would think if they'd held tryouts in Phoenix they would have gotten someone better off the street.

So, i try to figure out who the Cleveland fans would root for in a game like this...

Their major rival is on one side -Pittsburgh On the other is the team that abandoned them and their city. I got to think that, secretly, they want a remake of the bodybag game the Eagles had.

I think they earned the spot, one of the better defenses in the league and a powerful running game before Ellington went down. Can't penalize them for injuries and if Logan Thomas could have developed at all they could have at least made it a game.

Carolina is the exact opposite, getting healthy at the right time (Newton excluded) but there run ends next week.
