Can I order up 2 catfights, 5 shouting matches, 10 shopping cart rundowns and a greco roman wrestling match? Because that's usually what I get when I venture out with my wife at 4am the Friday after thanksgiving!!

I've seen chatter that some online spots are starting at midnight the morning of Thanksgiving (i.e. Wednesday night). I saw that in a message from the Microsoft store. Some other people have reported those kinds of messages from other sites.

I honestly think we're seeing the beginning of the end of black friday store rushes. The internet is the way to go for obvious reasons, and now the same deals available in store will be available via the internet, so there is no reason to have trampling and fist fights in person.
I think the stores themselves would benefit from making it a holiday and actually closing their stores Thursday AND Friday to let their workers enjoy their time with family for a change, rather than rushing around a store to stock shelves to overflowing for a greedy bunch of crazy people.

Sheeple. I'm saying it now - if anyone here is all "I WENT OUT AT MIDNIGHT AFTER THANKSGIVING DINNER TO START WAITING IN LINE/SHOPPING" I'm going to mock the ever-loving shit out of them for being a sheeple. Spouses...fine...you all can't control your wives, that's cool. But any of us. Yeah...SHEEPLE. |

Now that most of the good deals on Amazon will be limited to prime customers (opening up the sales 30 minutes early), there's room for an internet retailer to make a splash this year.

I've got a friend who's one of the savviest shoppers I know. He'll scour the internet for hours to find the best deal, price, whatever. He goes out every Black Friday morning, despite the fact that he knows he can now find deals that are as good, if not better than, in store. To him it's an event, and he really enjoys it.

Is there going to be any big deals on the PS4 or Xbox One. I need to pick one up at some point.

Amazing that you can pick up both consoles for cheap with two games this holiday season. Both of the consoles are now sub-$300 when you factor in the value of the included games.

$20 off both Disney Infinity 2.0 Starter Packs this weekend at GameStop (Brave or Marvel Super Heroes). May have to make the plunge to upgrade. My kids have been wanting the new version.

I don't think the PS4's bundles go live for another week or so. There'll be two of 'em out there. One with GTA V and The Last Of Us Remastered, the other with Lego Batman 3 and Little Big Planet 3. $400 for each, IIRC. |

Couple new bundles. PS4 with Lego Batman, LBP3, and a game for $449. 3DS XL bundle, but no price yet on that one.
Walmart's Cyber Monday sale includes a great PS4 bundle and mysterious 3DS XL sale - Yahoo Games |

If you have windows 8 or a windows phone, microsoft is giving away 100 free albums. Just download the music deals app and you can get the mp3 albums for free.

I'm doing some work with a major retailer, and I'm stunned they are expecting a bigger day on Thanksgiving than on Black Friday. Absolutely crazy.

Well Gamestop has confirmed that Tales of Xillia 2 will be $20 on friday. So that's at least one game I'm buying.

Really? Cool Question: Once I click "get it for free" and "yes" to switch to "music" app, do I have to do anything else? I think my "music" app is screwed up...I just get a red screen and then it disappears away. Last edited by DaddyTorgo : 11-26-2014 at 02:55 PM. |

Bestbuy has the Fire TV Stick on sale right now. Though I don't have any experience with it. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/amazon-f...&skuId=9999119 My only experience has been with the Chromecast and that has been pretty limited so far. Several deals out there Chromecast |

Are you using Windows 8? It should just be your normal account you login with.

I picked up that fire stick from best buy yesterday. Set it up and all I did was watch a few episodes of Parks and Rec on Netflix but it performed well. With HBO Go coming early next year and having Netflix and Amazon Prime it's a no brainer at 25 bucks if you ask me

Was hoping for a deal on Super Mario 3D World but it doesn't look like it's going to be on sale anywhere.

Yeah I'm looking for a Roku 3 as well but I haven't seen any sales yet. I think the wife would prefer an Apple TV and I was hoping to be able to better justify the Roku by saving a few bucks (I have a hunch she doesn't care about things like Plex).

I always head out to at least one store on Black Friday myself. Like Vince P2's friend, I consider it an event, and for me, it's one of the best holiday traditions (In fact, it's my third favorite holiday of the year).

Amazon has a flash deal that just popped up. Their Black Friday XBox One Assassin's Creed bundle + 12 month XBox Live card + 2 extra games (Zoo Tycoon & Max:The Curse of Brotherhood) for $328. Only good for the next hour and a half (or until all are claimed).
Considering the Assassin's Creed Black Friday bundle was a pretty good deal at $329 and this flash deal just throws in 12 months of XBox Live + two other games for a dollar less, I though this was a steal. |
