I think you'll get the first two. I'm not so sure on USC.

The Bucs -3 over the Jets is almost too good to be true. I'm paying money to find out though.

Mich state -23- I usually steer clear of Sparty because you never know what the fuck they will do, but I know a guy who went to USF and follows the program pretty close and he thinks they will lose by 40

OK State -27- they looked very sluggish last week. I think Gundy got all over them and they use this as a tune up fame for the offense. I see a classic OSU 62-14 beatdown coming.

Ohio St -28-I think this is a gift. SDSU lost at home to an FBS school by 21. OSU looked bored at times last week and I think Meyer lights a fire under them.

Oregon- UVA +61- UVA beat a good BYU team, putting up 19aganst a good defense. They will likely get down early and will have to throw the ball. I think OU wins 45-21.

Toledo +17- They showed some heart in a loss to Florida. I think they cover easily.

South Carolina +3.5-Murray is 1-10against top 10 teams. I'll go with the trend.

I am not skilled/dedicated enough to be serious about week-to-week football picks, but I do enjoy this thread. Hats off to those of you who actually post your thoughts or plays before the games, by the way. My favorite part, though, is the inevitable wave of after-the-fact winners who share their great triumphs.

Good luck to all, bring down the house(s).

Looking ahead to what I like at the moment for tomorrow:

NE/BUF (Over 51) These teams seemingly always put up big numbers against each other and I don't see that stopping tomorrow.

NYG/DAL (Over 48.5) - Games are a shootout when they play in DAL

Still not 100% to put a wager down on the following:

TB (-4) I can't see a way for Gino and the Jets to keep this close, but it also seems like an obvious trap to fall into.

KC (-4) Another road favorite Week 1, which I try to stay away from, but this team is much more talented than their record from last year would indicate.

SF (-4.5) I see the Niners winning this one 30-21.

5-3 yesterday with a OK State giving up a late TD or I would have been 6-2. Also had the over in the Indiana game and Arizona over UNLV, but I wont count those. I also bought the USC koolaid for the last time this year and I thought Oregon State would have had a bigger win.

NFL Games-

Pats -10- a ton of points to give on the road. I think Brady will be out to show he can win big with the new cast of characters and I am not a fan of rookie QBs who barely took a snap in the pre season.

Tampa -3 vs Jets- I have a feeling I am going to get screwed like everyone else, the line just seems to good to be true and probably is. I just dont see how the Jets are going to score and the Bucs will play ball control with Doug MArtin giving the Jets even fewer chances.

Atlanta- New Orleans +55- A ton of points but I think this is going to be a fun shoot out between two division rivals both wanting to show they are the alpha dog. I also think Sean Payton is going to want to announcehe is back in a big way.

Carolina +3- I'll take themas home dogs. They should have beat Seattle last year and the Seahawks never do well traveling cross country for 10 AM local time starts.

Minnesota +4.5- I just dont trust the Lions as favorites. I think the Vikings can control the game enough with AP to keep it close

++Carolina - Sea is an interesting game for stats betters.
- Car is the worst team in the NFL ATS since joining on opening day
- West Coast Teams are a near statistical lock to not cover in early games in EST
- CAR finished strong but was a major disappointement, but SEA should be a darling this year.

OVER 45 is my play

++ I got in on Indy -7.5 earlier this week and love that play....Id be nervous to go at the 12 Im seeing now

++ Miami +2
- Cleveland is clueless, still. So is Miami.

++ New England Buffalo OVER 51.5...Im not so sure NE doesnt do that alone.

Wish I had made the move to go with KC and SF.

Ended up going 1-1 (NFL) and 2-1 (NCAA) for the weekend.

0-5? And the Giants lost to Dallas. Not a good Sunday.

Vegas is much smarter than I am. At least I had a good college week.

I did have the over in the niners and Giants games and the Cards +3.5, so there is that. I didn't post it though so it doesnt count.

Days like yesterday remind me why I should never bet the NFL. Whether it truly is "any given Sunday" or "the f'ng fix is in!", betting the pros historically has been an exercise in futility.

I may regret jinxing this but Louisville -14 vs Kenucky? Louisville is making their outside run at a national title, has the frontrunner for the Heisman, and well UK is UK.

Also feel like Indiana and Texas have big revenge games on tap for today.

Louiville -14- seems like a trap but I'm a sucker

Bama-9- Saban can talk all he wants about this not being a revenge game but he is full of shit. He wants to beat them and beat the bad.

Oregon -28- UT just isn't that good.

Nebraska -3- I think the early local start time hurts the Bruins.

FSU -35- They are going to take out the Miami loss on a far inferior opponent

Rutgers -27.5- This is a pretty good RU team that plays good defense

Lathum, you are much better than I at college ball, but I will take the SEC team , at home, getting 2 tds. General rule, anytime you get dd pts in a rivalry game (players on both sides with HS football history, many recruited by both schools) then its a pretty good bet.

Not a great start today for me.

Tulsa +24.5: Thought I was going to pull this one out, but OU stuck one more into the endzone.

New Mexico +21: Ended up losing by 22 to Pitt

Rice -6.5: At home vs. Kansas. They put up 31 at Texas A&M and I see them scoring a bunch again today.

N. Illinois -28: Idaho is bad

BC +14: USC is bad, but apparently BC is even worse. Hopefully the second half pans out for me

FAU +12: South Florida has been awful and should not be double digit favorites against anyone.

Ball St/N. Texas Over 59

Texas SA/Arizona Over 64

Added:
Washington -10.5
Arizona St. -5
Kent St. +37.5
Purdue +20.5

The Bama game screwed me, had it in a parlay that would have won and outright.

Back on the horse

+55 in the Eagles-Chargers
+50 PAckers- Skins
Atl -5.5
Also took first half +27.5 in the Eagles game hoping they get out to a fast start again.

I attack every NFL Sunday in a different manner according to what Ive seen and expect to happen. Today, Im eliminating road dogs that have no chance to win and playing every other underdog to win outright. SF is another live dog but very popular and its a marquee night game. Pass.

CLE +240
Miami +130
STL +230
TB +150
AZ +120
JAX +230
NYG +200

Seven games, can go 3-4 and make money. Doing better than that with no spread? That's just gravy.

Damn, it looks like it was a bloodbath here this weekend

I went 3-1, but laid the most action of the week on my loser (thanks TCU!), so even my big day wasn't as good as it could have been.

Yeah. I see a sloppy, field-goal heavy game. Vick prolly breaks a few tackles against a tired defense, Eagles win, but I personally doubt this one's gonna be high scoring.

Which clearly means bet the over, 'cause it's gonna be like 80-65.
