Nice br!

I want the Ravens to win for teh Ray Lewis send off story more than the Colin K suck off special that will happen if the 49ers win. Better yet, what happens if Colin is injured in teh first quarter, and Alex Smith come sin and wins the game? That'd be awesome! Better yet, what if Colin is sucky in the first two quarters - four picks, and he gets pulled for Smith, who wins the game?

Go 49ers I guess.

wouldn't mind seeing Ray Lewis get steamrolled in his final game

Flacco has won 6 playoff road games, which is more than any QB.

I can't stand either of these teams winning. Hopefully, the Mayans are just late in their predictions.

A great matchup IMO. My money (heart) will be on 49ers but my head tells me Baltimore.

Ravens are this year's Packers and NYG, their QB and defense has gotten hot at the right time. Media will overdo the brother vs brother and Ray Lewis but it'll be a good matchup. I like how the two HCs made big changes on offense during the season and they both worked.

Couldn't happen to a worse human being.

Well, it COULD, but you have to flip the saying around. Anyway, Lewis is one of the last folks I'm rooting for to win a Super Bowl. He's ahead of Michael Vick, Rae Carruth, and some others, but way behind most other players.

Not defending Vick, but he wasn't complicit in the murder of two people. I'd throw Vick a ticker tape parade before rooting for Lewis. I don't understand the "feel good" stories around Lewis trying to win again.

Have the opportunity to go to New Orleans. The 49ers << SF Giants, but these may well be one of those once in a lifetime kind of things.

I'd think it was pretty friggin cool if I had 2 sons, and they both ended up with NFL head coaching jobs.

But, WOW, if they were facing off in the Super Bowl.

Jack Harbaugh has to be feeling pretty awesome right now.

The title of this thread should be "The Super Bowl XLVII thread".

I hope it is a good game that comes down to the end. I'm having a hard time not rooting against the Ravens. A lot of my facebook friends are from MD and I am seeing a lot of obnoxiousness since the game ended.

This.

I watch very, very little ESPN already, mainly live events. ESPN doesn't recognize hockey. NHL network doesn't recognize Ray Lewis or the Harbaughs.

About now is a great time to block uno through ocho.

I think it is a win/win for me either way. I would love to see people have to admit Flacco won a SB. I have a soft spot for the 49ers due to watching them growing up back in the Bill Walsh days. Just because the Lions were on the TV didn't mean I enjoyed it.

<---Steelers fan but I have a begrudging respect for the Ravens and Ray Lewis as a player (although I, too, think he's a murderer).

That being said, I believe that the Niners win this game with ease.

I dunno- I recognize the Niners are favored, but their defense relies heavily on the front 4 being able to generate pressure without blitz help. When an offensive line can hold them (like the Falcons did) even without the threat of a running game, it gets a lot easier to generate yardage on them, as the Falcons showed.

I'd say that's probably Lewis, exponentially. I doubt half of non-49er fans even realize that Moss is playing.

2004, Pats/Eagles in Jacksonville. Hell of an experience, really glad I went...wasn't even tempted to try to pick up tickets to this one despite my team being involved. Horribly overpriced, and it's a much better experience watching on TV.

Considering you'd be spending 4k a person, from what it looks like, I'd much rather buy 2-80" tvs or 1-90"tv with the 8grand spent on 2 people.

At the very least Joani is a girl and doesn't feel bad about not being an NFL head coach. The same can't be said for Peyton and Eli's brother...

With some pressure from my co-workers, we're hosting a Super Bowl party. BYOB and somewhat of a potluck dinner. I'm making Apple Pie drink (with everclear!), the Bacon Explosion, and popping popcorn in our Sam's Club popper (almost as big as movie theaters).
