doomsday preppers?
Surely I can't be the only one who has found and enjoys this weekly hour of fail. People base their need to prep on some ridiculous conspiracy concept(the Chinese will destroy the dollar! Sea level will rise and cover most of the US!) And prep for the onslaught of people who will raid and pillage their property. This one guy was making wine to serve as a barter good!
I guess I don't think it's a bad idea to have some reserves and to have a few contingencies covered. But to obsess and stockpile years of food. Or to convert all your Money into silver coins. These things seem too looney. I mean, I'm not sure I meant to live on canned peas for months on end anyways. Anyways, Tuesday night on Nat Geo. Last edited by stevew : 11-19-2012 at 03:04 PM. |

It's also alarming that about a third of these people live in PA. Time to move.

Most of these people on that show are just...weird. I want to see one where they have plans to reconquer the Plant of the Apes.

Finally getting around to watching this. These people are insane. That they can get high powered weapons is scary.

Some of the set pieces are just hilarious. This guy tries to buy coverings to camouflage has semi, then is literally $1500 worth short. Then they stage a mock hijacking!
Please watch this show....I swear you won't be disappointed. Its the perfect combo of the worst/best thing ever. |

Anyone catch the Castle episode last week? It was so full of fail. I love/hate this show.

I watched a few episodes before hoping to get a few tips on general preparedness. The people highlighted are so clearly bat shit loony that it made me more nervous about a domestic terror event perpetrated by someone on the show than preparing for some kind of 1000 year storm.
