2012 NFL Regular Season - Week 5: Quarterbacks on the Hot Seat

Mark Sanchez and Tony Romo both look like Gino Toretta on a bad day.

New Orleans looks for its first win against JediKooters Chargers.

The Eagles duke it out with their in-state rival Steelers for the title of "best team that nobody takes seriously."

I always love the argument that something someone does is going to impact the children.

It is your job to teach your kids what you believe is right and wrong. If you think gay marriage is wrong, then teach them that if you want to.

If something someone else does influences your children, then you suck as a parent, IMO.

I know isn't it great? A lot of luck and timely defensive stops/turnovers is the main reason why. The offensive is struggling-especially the offensive line which gave up 8 sacks to Miami this past week. Kolb however has looked better of late running for his life on just about every play and still moving the team down the field.

Now I hope they don't stink it up against the Rams tomorrow.

I'm going to say that it's better to not have a hot tub party with a HS babysitter regardless of any other moral stance.

Thats easy for us to say since we aren't getting invites to any hot tub partys. Just kidding, of course he shouldn't attend the hot tub partys. I always just find the biggest loudmouths are usually those leading the double lives.

Geez, hard to lay it all on Romo (and I'm an Eagles' fan) as his receivers have done absolutely nothing to help him most of the season. A healthy Witten and more consistent play out of Bryant and I bet Romo's numbers look more like Flacco's than Weedon's.

I was speaking strictly to the MNF game. If your receivers are having a bad day, that might account for...oh...two picks. That still leaves three picks against a slightly above average defense.

With the way Norv Turner under prepares the Chargers, I would not be surprised if the Saints get their first win this weekend. The Chargers needed 6 turnovers to beat the hapless Chiefs last week, so unless Brees starts throwing the ball like Tony Romo...classic trap game written all over this one.

Bad line, too.

I will say this, Witten may have not been healthy before, but he looked fine on Monday.

I don't consider this a trap game. Yeah, they're 0-4, but it's still an explosive Saints team with Drew Brees running the offense, and the Chargers are going on the road.

I actually would be surprised if the Chargers walk out with a win.

Normally, I'd totally agree with you on that. It's a trap game for a team head coached by Norv Turner, that is now 2-0 on the road. He is not a 'take no prisoners' kind of coach, so he's going to go with a game plan of playing against a 0-4 team, instead of a team that can light up the scoreboard. Unless his offensive geniusness can come up with something that takes advantage of the Saints struggling defense, I see them slipping to 3-2.

Is the NO-SD game a 1pm game? If it is, I give NO a better than 80% chance to win. West coast teams don't fair well traveling east for 1pm games.

Me neither. The Saints haven't been terrible. They're definitely weaker than they've been in recent years but all the losses have been close. They're just rudderless and can't finish. I think Norv cancels that factor out.

They signed a contract recently.

With 10 fantasy teams, I think I might have a player or 2 playing tonight.

Really I think the worst thing Chmura was criticize Clinton for his morals, then have the hot tub party and not invite him. Multiple violations of the bro code.

Mike McCarthy is a class act. They had that ref from the Seattle-GB game on Inside the NFL . The poor man's cell phone number got out and he got a bunch of nasty calls from Packer fans but he also got a nice voicemail from McCarthy beacause the coach had heard that the ref was having a bad week. I wish some fans would have handled that blown call as well as well as McCarthy did.

Doesn't help it's a game very few people are probably interested in. I love pro football but I'm watching USC-Utah on ESPN.

Man glad I had to go to bed at halftime of the Cards game. That was a pretty pathetic effort by the offensive line-how do you expect any QB to do well when he's on the run or touched on almost every play? Pathetic. And to think you could have drafted a desperately needed O-Liner in the first round and you instead went with "best available", a WR who so far doesn't look very "best"

Luke McCown is behind him on the depth charts... ie: Nothing bad better happen to Ryan

Without the Kerrigan teeth, it would be tough to match that quality of crying. Another question worth asking is, would the Falcons sign Chris Chandler to take his place?

$50 says he can still sling the ball around as well as 1/3 of the guys in the league, at least until he slips while running and breaks three ribs.

Every time the Steelers play Vick, something fucked up happens. IIRC, we tied the Falcon, and lost by a few points. (false start run off ended the game). Vick threw for a zillion yards.
