I saw this earlier, just couldn't bring myself to be the one to post it (not after last time).

I Pm'd back. Given the reaction to mod decisions around here, I'm inclined to leave it just because I'm afraid it will provoke a reaction that will make the news easier to see on the board. I titled it the way I did on purpose, but didn't remember what happened last time. I assumed noop would know about this.

Honestly, I'm cool with deleting it if you guys think that's best.

To be clear, I could argue it either way. It's public news, spreading to the Florida news sites now. If the family doesn't know this time, they'll probably find out from friends or the news one way or the other, but of course I want to be sensitive to noop, too. Thanks to Jon for giving me a heads-up about this an hour and a half ago so I at least had a chance to think through how I wanted to handle it when it inevitably came up.

I found out from the twitter of a national college football writer, so it's everywhere. It would be a stroke of really bad luck if he somehow came here and saw the news before he saw it elsewhere or heard it from someone else.

I went ahead and put it in spoiler tags so at least you can't read it by hovering on the thread link.

EDIT: Or I guess you can?!

Well shit, I'm just leaving it like this. Unfortunately he is going to find out one way or the other, I just hope it's not here.

Noop is related to Glenn and found out about his drug arrest a couple of years ago by reading it on this board. I posted this news, and we're debating whether it should be pulled so what happened last time doesn't happen again.

I sincerely hope he found out the "right way" (to the extent finding out something like this the right way is possible).

Glenn used to post here under the name huve. I'm not sure he ever made an appearance after the 2003 championship game.

Oh, I gotcha now. I was searching the internet for the word "huve" ...

Totally makes sense now.

Yes, Glenn was a regular at The Sideline and came over to FOFC in October 2000 when it broke off from there.

Very infrequently - at least in terms of posting. Which is one of the reasons I posted this (and under a vague title). But honestly, the drug thing completely slipped my mind until Ben mentioned it.

Lots of memories talking to him, and really was rooting for him to be happy.

My memories of this forum connect me with noop pretty hard. We are of similar age and kind of grew up at this forum; both have older brothers. I feel terrible for him.
