How They Went: 1. New York Jets, 21 of 55 votes, 38.18%, Boston Red Sox second with 14 votes. 2. Boston Red Sox, 24 of 53 votes, 45.28%, Los Angeles Kings second with 9 votes. 3. Los Angeles Kings, 11 of 22 votes, 50%, Hartford Whalers second with 4 votes. 4. Hartford Whalers/Carolina Hurricanes, 13 of 34 votes, 38.24%, Bengals and Seahawks tied for second with 5 votes each. 5. Cincinnati Bengals, 10 of 23, 43.48%, Seahawks second with 6 votes. 6. This whole poll is completely suspect, as the Bengals haven't won. There is a complete lack of credibility in the poll, from the afore mentioned failure.

I think if it was a poll from 1990 on, the Bengals would be the hands-down winner. But a pair of SB appearances in 80s, and near-wins at that, really mars their ability to claim sucky dominance since 1970, which is the timeframe for this contest.
